Airline Access: Half a dozen daily flights to and from major cities in the U.S. connect St. Thomas with the mainland, while some 40 connecting flights a day to Puerto Rico make St. Thomas a one-day flight destination for the rest of the world. U.S. Carriers serving St. Thomas and Puerto Rico are American, Delta and US Air, while European Carriers such as British Airways and Lufthansa offer direct flights to Puerto Rico with easy return connections to the Virgin Islands.

Climate: Year round the temperatures in the U.S. Virgin Islands vary between 70 degrees and 90 degrees F (21 degrees and 32 degrees C). The temperature of the water (The Caribbean Sea) is an almost constant 80 degrees F(27 degrees C).
The gentle easterly trade winds provide a refreshing breeze all year, giving the Virgin Islands a year round sunny and comfortable climate.

Entry Requirements: St. Thomas is a United States Territory. Non U.S. Citizens, except Canadians, need a valid passport with a visa, U.S. citizens and Canadian citizens need proof of citizenship. Customs And Duties: Shopping in the Virgin Islands is duty free, while U.S. citizens also enjoy a customs exemption of $1200.00 per person. The only applicable tax for visitors is an 8% hotel room tax.
