Mango Bay Resort Villas
The BVI beach and oceanside location is magnificent and only minutes from the airport, marina, shops, and other hotels and restaurants, Mango Bay has complete privacy provided by the rolling hills of the island and the coral reefs along the shoreline.
|
More Info: There are two kinds of Caribbean Islands. One plays host to cruise ships and their clientele, who travel in packs and display excessive fondness for duty-free shopping, or cluster themselves in gigantic pools and casinos.
The other is an island with white sand, blue skies, turquoise waters, peace, and tranquility. Mango Bay, in Virgin Gorda - one of the most beautiful unspoiled Caribbean Islands - definitively belongs to the second group. Mango Bay is a small resort, residing along a long sandy beach nestled between pristine waters and tropical surroundings. It has accommodations in resort duplex villas, each with its own living room, kitchen, and private patio ... as well as some of the most elegant private villas of the area. The villas have the atmosphere of your own home combined with the comfort of hotel service.
Mango Bay Resort overlooks a vast bay, Drake's Anchorage Channel, and the big island of Tortola in the distance. The long sandy beach, lined with sea grapes and palms, is naturally protected by a coral reef barrier, providing an ideal place for watersports. The reef also gives Mango Bay Resort its great privacy, as none of the larger boats nor any of the big charter boats or day trippers can find their way into our shores.
Nearby Attractions: Our calm bay is the perfect place for many activities such as snorkeling, underwater photography, sailing, and kayaking. Hikers and nature lovers can explore nearby trails winding through tropical foliage and see endless vistas from hilltops.
Our guests enjoy swimming and sunbathing along the tranquil waters of Mahoe Bay beach. Snorkeling equipment, float mattresses, and kayaks are provided at no extra cost.
Many activities are available on the island such as windsurfing lessons, water skiing, scuba diving, fishing, tennis, and renting a small whaler, all available within a short drive of the resort. Scuba diving and snorkeling trips can be arranged for our guests. The BVI has some of the most outstanding underwater coral reefs in the Caribbean, and a huge array of colorful tropical fish.
The Mango Bay staff also will be pleased to arrange jeep rentals, island hopping, day sails, and other outings around the BVI. Picnic baskets can be prepared for day excursions upon request at extra charge. The British Virgin Islands have many places to explore.
Snorkeling trips in Sir Frances Drake Channel are a popular way to see other parts of the BVI. We'll be glad to book you on the 44' schooner 'Spirit of Anegada' - click the image below to find out more! Since Mango Bay Resort is centrally located in Virgin Gorda, guests can easily spend a day at the famous "Baths" as well as explore the North Sound area. Be sure to visit Spanish Town and have a drink or dine at The Rock Cafe, a fun sports bar and restaurant.

Caribbean Travel Tip Residence or Investments in the Caribbean You will need a passport and visas to reside in or to conduct or start a business in the Caribbean. Although some Caribbean countries welcome retirees or others of independent means as long-term residents, requests for work permits are rarely granted. Before you travel, apply to the country's embassy or consulate in the United States to obtain a visa if you wish to reside, go into business, or work in the country.
U.S. citizens who wish to invest in the Caribbean, such as in real estate or a business, should first thoroughly investigate the company making the offer and, in addition, learn about the investment climate in the country. A good resource is the Trade Information Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce, telephone 1-800-USA-TRADE. The Center can tell you how to access the National Trade Data Bank. Among the things you can learn are how to find out if the company is registered with local authorities and how to get in touch with local trade associations. Before signing a contract for a timeshare or other real estate, you may wish to consult with a lawyer. You will need to check whether the contract contains the same safeguards as do similar contracts in the U.S., such as the retention of timeshare rights if the property is sold. You should also determine whether the builder or seller has a clear title.
