More Info: Welcome to Laguna Beach Resort, an exclusive diving, fishing and beach get away located on Utila, the smallest and most unspoiled of the Bay Islands of Honduras.
This elegantly designed property is set on a palm fringed peninsula dividing a tranquil mangrove lagoon and the warm Caribbean Sea.
This quaint resort provides much privacy with their bungalow style accommodations nestled on the lagoons edge, for a perfect view of Utila’s tropical sunset. The beautiful ocean view restaurant and bar, built from natural woods, continues the resort's rustic theme that compliments the island ambiance Utila is famous for.
Utila sits on top of the second largest fringing coral reef in the world making Laguna Beach a diver's paradise. The outer banks are home to dolphin and more than the occasional whale shark. We invite you to explore our tropical paradise... where nature abounds.
Waterfront bungalows provide private decks, a spacious bath, hot water, ceiling fans and air conditioning. Laguna Beach Resort is self-sufficient with its own 110 volt current and sea recovery system (reverse osmosis unit) providing potable water throughout the resort.
Laguna Beach Resort is ideally located on a lushly landscaped, private peninsula on the south central section of the tiny island of Utila. This remote, intimate property's natural wood design portrays a rustically elegant setting for the perfect island getaway.
The Resort consists of 13 bungalow style accommodations each set over a tranquil mangrove lagoon accommodating a total of 36 guests.
Laguna Beach’s ocean side restaurant offers 3 buffet style meals daily. This beautifully designed building has a center bar and upstairs entertainment room with a pool table and satellite T.V. Relax with a cocktail after dinner on the restaurants deck perfect for stargazing.
Visit the Resort’s gift shop to check out local Honduran goods and hand made souvenirs available for purchase. The shop also offers a variety of Laguna Beach tee shirts and other resort wear.
Nearby Attractions: The dive operation consists of an on-site dive shop with gear storage area, fresh water shower and separate rinse tanks for cameras and gear. Laguna Beach Resort also boasts 3 Newton custom dive boats (34' X 14' and larger), equipped with tank racks, platform and unique slant ladder.
