Site Information:
Grafton House
Grafton House is a beautiful, privately owned 1930's plantation house offering superb self-catering accommodation on the Grafton Estate, Tobago.
|
More Info: This large house, with its idyllic hilltop location at Black Rock, Tobago offers superb self-catering accommodation for up to nine adult guests.
Nestled within a large and lush tropical garden, Grafton House provides magnificent panoramic views across the island and the Caribbean Sea.
The house retains all the original character of its period construction and has been sympathetically modernised by its owners to provide the convenience we expect today. Extensive polished, dark wood floors, high ceilings, and large verandas on all sides are complemented by a large, well equipped kitchen and three bathrooms (two en-suite).
Inside the house is light and airy. Sea breezes cool the spacious living and dining rooms which along with the double bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans.
Accommodation for sleeping is flexible, comprising a triple bedroom, two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a cot (for the young visitor), allowing up to nine adults and a child to stay at any one time.
The garden surrounds the house and its exotic plants and extensive lawns are the perfect place to relax by the side of the large private swimming pool (36'x16') or enjoy a friendly game of croquet.
Nearby Attractions: The seclusion you feel at Grafton House belies the convenience of its location. The Estate is less than 5 minutes drive from local shops, bars, restaurants and one of the island's few ATMs, and within easy walking distance of Grafton Beach.
If golf's your thing, the lovely Mount Irvine Golf Course is only five minutes away and with transfer from Crown Point International airport taking less than 20 minutes; Grafton House could hardly be better placed.
Amenities: We want your holiday to be as special and carefree as we can make it. To this end, we ensure that a local agent will be there to meet you at the airport when your flight arrives and transfer you to the house.
When at the house you will meet our caretaker and gardener who has his own flat at the house, giving you the security of knowing there is always someone there. We provide a maid service (5 days a week), supply and launder all bed linen, bath and pool towels, and give you a welcome hamper to ease you through the start of your stay. The maid will carry out personal laundry for a small fee.
The facilities within the house include a local telephone, barbeque and cable TV (limited). We are happy to help arrange local car hire and can provide baby-minding services should you require them.
