Casa De Las Flores
The villa is within the exclusive gated community of Sea Horse Ranch just fifteen minutes from the Puerta Plata Airport. La Casa De Las Flores is an ocean view luxury villa located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispanola with Haiti.

More Info: La Casa De Las Flores, a private home, has been meticulously maintained by its owners. It was completed in 1997 and was built for its owners. There are magnificently complex natural mahogany arched windows skirted by elegant columns throughout the house. Solid mahogany doors and trim adds to the charm and ambience of the home. To add to the spacious feeling in the living room there is a 35 foot vaulted ceiling with vaulted ceilings in every room of this luxury villa. Sky lights and large windows create an environment of glowing tropical light. Imported Italian tile covers all the floors and compliments the natural color of the mahogany. Ceiling fans are in every room and the kitchen and dining room have air-conditioners. The villa is furnished in a tropical decor reminiscent of the McGuire Designs in bamboo and rattan. Wrought iron tables and lamps were made locally by master craftsmen in Santiago. There is a maid and a gardener six days a week that have worked at the villa for years.
Living Room: The over sized living room has two separate seating arrangements one that is an entertainment center with cable television and a CD and tape player.
The villa is located between the towns of Sosua and Cabarete. The tranquil town of Sosua enjoys a beautiful horseshoe bay with a white sand beach and calm waters ideal for swimming. Cabarete is a lively wind and kite surfing center as well as hosting many good restaurants and gift shops.
La Casa De Las Flores was designed to take full advantage of the ocean view that can be seen from the pool terrace, the shaded oversized terrace off the living room, the living room itself, the formal dining room and the master bedroom suite. A private cove beach is located approximately 40 yards from the villa and a few yards beyond that are the communal swimming pools for the exclusive use of guests and residents of Sea Horse Ranch.
Nearby Attractions: Among the other amenities available within the community are; The Beach Club which is a café type restaurant located on the ocean just a few yards beyond the communal pools; five hard tennis courts with two lighted for evening games, ball boys and a tennis pro; and an Equestrian Center where guides and horses are available to explore the beaches and country side, beginners welcome. There are two Robert Trent Jones golf courses in the area, one to the East at Playa Grande much like the famous Pebble Beach Club and another to the West at Playa Dorada.

Caribbean Travel Tip Ocean Undercurrents If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
