Imagine a beautiful beachfront villa, a spacious, delightful terrace where you can relax and enjoy the seascape while a soft breeze rivals your cold drink in making life pleasant, where the biggest problem you will face is whether to opt for the short trip down to the beach or simply take a dip in the swimming pool on the terrace...

More Info: If you in your dreams see a green fertile island, untouched by tourism, where you still can find beaches without footprints, with warm turquoise water lapping the white sand and a pleasant tropical breeze gently rustling the coconut palms high above. Then you dream about Grenada, a gem of an island!
Imagine a lovely tropical evening on the terrace with your family and friends, the fireflies like small shooting stars among the treetops, soft music in the background, tempting whiffs from the grill, and the lights of St. George`s in the distance.
Imagine a chef who is taking care of all the cooking, who makes the food you want - or perhaps you prefer to prepare your own food - or you walk down to the beach to enjoy a pleasant evening at one of the best restaurants of the island.
And if you are a true adventurer, Grenada`s mountains and rain forests are criss-crossed by tracks along which you may stop to have a bathe in hot springs. Here you can take pictures of beautiful waterfalls, giant tropical plants, jewel-coloured butterflies, and see nutmeg and cinnamon, cloves and cocoa growing in rich fertile soil. Memories to carry home.
Just imagine the time and space to relax, where the only thing you will do quickly will be to make friends. The pleasures here are natural ones, offering the pure ecstatsy of discovery to those who have grown tired of commercial pleasures. In Grenada you will find a gentle and hospitable people, but you will find no casinos, no amusement arcades, no neon-lit streets filled with night-time noise.
Can you really afford not to treat yourself to all this?
Nearby Attractions: Grenada's most popular beaches for sunbaking and swimming are all in the southwest of the island. They include the fine sweep of white sand at Grand Anse, nearby Morne Rouge Bay and True Blue. Calvigny Island, off the island's southwestern coast, has a couple of pretty beaches; you can reach them by shuttle boat from Secret Harbour or by asking fisherpeople around Woburn Pier. If you want to have a beach to yourself, head to Carriacou.
The waters around Grenada have extensive reefs, with good coral, fish, turtles and other marine life. Dives come in a variety of flavors, including shallow reefs, walls, drifts and shipwrecks. The best sites are Bose Reef, Dragon Bay and Grand Mal Point. It's also worth checking out the unpopulated islands between Grenada and Carriacou. Kick 'em Jenny is worth visiting for the name alone, but the tiny island is also surrounded by pristine waters with great visibility; there's a sheer wall dive at Sisters Island. Molinière Point, just north of St George's, has the island's best snorkeling, although land access is difficult. If you're interested in game fishing, blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish and yellowfin tuna swim in Grenada's waters. The best catches are in the winter months.
Good hiking trails wind through the Grand Etang rainforest, which occupies the center of Grenada. They include the Mt Qua Qua Trail, which leads to the top of a ridge with fine views of the forest; the Seven Sisters Falls Trail, which leads to a series of seven waterfalls; and the gentle but frequently muddy Grand Etang Shoreline Trail. There's also a network of short walking trails in the La Sagesse Nature Centre, on the island's southeastern coast. The trails explore the former estate of the late Lord Brownlow, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.

Sailing in Grenada
Caribbean Travel Tip Bringing Your Own Boat or Plane If you plan to arrive in the Caribbean in your own boat or plane, contact the embassy, consulate, or tourist office of each country you plan to visit to learn what is required for entry and exit. Besides title of ownership, most ports of entry will require proof of insurance coverage for the country you are entering. Some countries require a temporary import permit for your boat or plane.
Authorities in the Caribbean are familiar with U.S. regulations for documentation of air and sea craft. They will detain improperly documented craft that enter their territory. In some countries, authorities will confiscate firearms found on a boat or plane unless the owner or master can show proof that U.S. licensing and export procedures have been followed. In addition, some countries impose stiff prison terms for the importation of illegal firearms.
