Grenada is the most southerly in the string of islands known as the "Grenadines", and offers a wide variety of the beauty and charms associated with a tropical paradise - sun, white sand beaches, tropical gardens & rain forests, charming historical buildings and most importantly - the warm and friendly Grenadians, who make this island so special.
Relatively unspoiled from mass tourism and crowds, Grenada is developing its own niche market for the discerning visitor, yet still offers all the amenities for the visitor who wants to be busy.
Being just south of 12 Degrees North, Grenada has the benefit of being outside the official Caribbean Hurricane Belt, and escapes most tropical low pressures associated with the summer/autumn season, giving a pleasant 24 -30 Deg C average daytime temperature throughout the year. The island has no particularly dangerous insects or snakes.

We can understand if You don't want to leave the magical surroundings of Azzurra, and indeed, many guests prefer Scuba-Dive lessons, Massages, Yoga and even live music to be brought into the privacy of Azzurra - which can easily be arranged. However, if You want outside activities there are plenty;
Diving & Snorkelling:
Grenada has some of the best diving & snorkeling in the Caribbean, with good variety of sites suitable for different stages of proficiency. for the real enthusiasts, the sunken cruise liner "Bianca C" is a great challenge.
Sailing:
Why not combine a week in Azzurra Castle with a week of luxury Yacht Charter exploring some of the beautiful islands just north of Grenada ( Tobago Quays, Bequia, Mustique etc. or just take a skippered day charter on a 40-50ft Yacht.
Amenities:
When staying at Azzurra You don't need to be concerned every time You use the Villa's facilities or ask The staff to do something...all facilities such as 4 Cable TV's, VCR, DVD, Stereos, Air-Conditioning, Pool, Kayaks, Dinghy and Snorkeling gear, Baby Cribs and High Chairs - are all included! So is the friendly in-house staff consisting of Cook/Housekeeper, Maids, and a Gardener. They cook all Your meals, Valet Your rooms, Wash Your clothes and generally assist You in any way they can.
The only extra You pay for is the Food / Drink Supply Provisioning at cost, International Phone calls (local calls are free of charge) or our Internet Access (about US$1.50/hr.)
We will send you menus, wine lists and suggested "pre-arrival" provisioning lists to choose from in order for our staff to have everything prepared to your wishes upon your arrival.
We also suggest we pre-book rental car(s) to be waiting at Azzurra for you.
In fact - if comparing the final cost against hotels of similar standard, this represents extraordinary value for money, and because the scaled rate system (see below), even honey-moon couples have found it affordable to book the entire property - just for them!

Besides title of ownership, most ports of entry will require proof of insurance coverage for the country you are entering. Some countries require a temporary import permit for your boat or plane.
Authorities in the Caribbean are familiar with U.S. regulations for documentation of air and sea craft. They will detain improperly documented craft that enter their territory. In some countries, authorities will confiscate firearms found on a boat or plane unless the owner or master can show proof that U.S. licensing and export procedures have been followed. In addition, some countries impose stiff prison terms for the importation of illegal firearms.
