The Amazing Holiday
A great deal of thought went into the accommodation at LaSource so that we could promise a new standard. Seasoned travellers tell us we created tasteful havens of luxurious and elegant comfort that are rarely seen in the Caribbean.
|
More Info: Rooms have a colonial feel that invites visions of our island history. Jalousied wooden shutters rather than curtains provide shade from the brilliant Caribbean sunlight. Ceiling fans gently move the air. Cool marble under foot feels opulent. Hand carved mahogany furniture and oriental throw rugs add warmth, as does a 4-poster king size bed (or a choice of two double beds). A white chenille bedspread a
dds to the antique feel. Generous room size gives you desirable space, while a private balcony or terrace takes you outside to a view of the sea or our fabulous gardens. Bathrooms are also spacious and luxurious with abundant marble, a bath and shower, and a plentiful supply of necessary toiletries and treatment robes.
Nearby Attractions: Golf - we feature a 9-green/18-tee Executive, par 3 course on the grounds of the resort. While short, the course, laid out amid flowering trees and shrubs along a brook that cascades over waterfalls. With many hillside lies, the course presents a challenge and a great opportunity to develop the "short" game. Our professional, Alwyn, a long-standing Grenada champion, is available for instruction or as a playing companion six days a week. Our guests can also enjoy golf at the Grenada Golf Club's 9 hole course and the green fees are even included in the holiday package!
Water Sports
Divers from all over the world come to Grenada for a superior dive experience in near-virgin waters. The dive programme at LaSource is without peer, and there is good snorkeling right off the beach.
Scuba Diving - One "try" dive is provided for beginners. This consists of a class room session, pool training and a dive on one of the 19 dive sites used in the LaSource Dive Program. We have a daily schedule with a morning and an afternoon dive for our certified divers. We include one free dive per day per guest. Various Certification Courses are offered by our PADI instructors at reasonable additional charges.
Amenities: Of course, all rooms have air conditioning. Other amenties include international direct dial telephone, clock radio, mini fridge (not stocked), in-room safes, iron and ironing board. Room categories differ by location and view. Rooms on the top floor have vaulted ceilings for an even more desirable feeling of space and light. But kindly note that LaSource is not equipped for people with walking difficulties.
Part of rejuvenating body and mind obviously rests with food and the social aspect of enjoying. When you have time to select and savour the food you want from a huge and varied menu of good things, you can indulge in a feeling of gratification and indulgence. Add the ingredient of highly pleasing surroundings and attentive service and food at LaSource becomes a very important part of the holiday experience.
The globally influenced Cuisine LaSource is designed for healthy eating without sacrificing the art of good cooking. It takes its inspiration from many light and healthy, contemporary styles of cooking and adaptations of traditional dishes from around the world. While Cuisine LaSource has lighter calorie leanings, it is not light food for its own sake. It is not spa food. You will never feel deprived. Our aim is to produce great tasting food with an emphasis on quality ingredients, lighter textures and natural flavours and to present it exquisitely. Exacting gourmets are welcome here!

Caribbean Travel Tip Ocean Undercurrents If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
