Nearby Attractions: Bequia: Located between St. Vincent and Grenada, visitors come to Bequia to get away from it all. Its small size, only seven square miles, has preserved the island's unspoiled simple lifestyle. The island is known as one of the most picturesque of the Caribbean Islands. Visitors can enjoy the delights of the white sand beaches as well as swimming, snorkeling, and excellent diving. It's particularly suited for beginning windsurfers. With some of the best cruising in the world, yachts of every shape and size can be viewed in the magnificent harbor, many of which are available for charter. Mustique Island can be reached by boat for a wonderful day trip or can be reached on a 5 minute Mustique Air flight. The locally-designed Bequia Boat is world renown. Tourism is now the main staple of the economy. Bequia is the perfect island to relax and enjoy the rich tranquility of the Caribbean.
The island boasts five major beaches and numerous sandy stretches idyllic for swimming, snorkling, exploring and just plain basking in the sun.
There's sailboarding for beginners, experts, and everyone in between. Or you can try your hand at sailing. Hire a Sunfish for an hour or experience life on a schooner for a day or two. Scuba divers will enjoy exploring the magnificent underwater environment around Bequia.
Landlubbers take heart. Bequia offers a wealth of scenic roads and paths for walking, hiking and jogging. Tennis courts are abundant. And there's always a game of soccer, volleyball or a cricket going on somewhere.
