Olde Yard Village
Brand new apartment and townhouse accommodations offer the perfect vacation retreat in Virgin Gorda. At Olde Yard Village enjoy all the spaciousness of a private home with the services, amenities and convenience of a luxury resort.
|
More Info: The Village is the perfect answer for those wanting an alternative to a standard hotel room. The resort offers a choice of luxury studio, one, two, and three bedroom apartments as well as two bedroom townhouses ranging in size from 800 sq. ft - 2400 sq. ft. Designed with a bathroom for each bedroom, the accommodations afford plenty of privacy for families or groups.
This impeccably designed development reflects the charm of old time West Indian architecture with accents of lacy gingerbread trim, wide breezy porches and a traditional Caribbean roofline. The sunny yellow three story buildings are accented with white railings and surrounded by lush tropical foliage. Since they face the Atlantic, the buildings are perfectly positioned to capture the constant, cooling trade winds. Although all units feature generous covered patios with beautiful garden, mountain or pool views, upstairs accommodations offer a fabulous sea view. However, even most first floor apartments offer partial ocean views.
Nearby Attractions: If the urge to be active strikes you, Olde Yard Village is the place to be. Work out in our air conditioned fitness center which features a variety of the latest exercise equipment or play a game or tennis or squash on one of our courts (available Spring 2005). For the more leisure-minded, soak in the outdoor heated Jacuzzi or relax in the 56 foot freshwater swimming pool studded with Virgin Gorda's famous boulders. Sip a cocktail poolside while you mull over the decision to go beach hopping among the island's 16 different beaches, all just a short ride away, or consider snorkeling, scuba diving or sailing.
Olde Yard Village is centrally located in the Valley of Virgin Gorda and a perfect base from which to enjoy all of the island's activities. Savannah Bay Beach, a long sandy stretch with an acclaimed snorkel trail is 1 mile away. The shops and restaurants of Spanish town are a 10 minute walk and the famous Baths are just 3 miles to the south. Village staff will enquire about your interests, brief you on all the island's activities and then assist with all of your arrangements such as jeep rentals, day sails, scuba diving, and excursions.
Amenities: For your convenience, the rentals are well equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, full kitchens, oversized covered patios, and lots of amenities such as cable TV, telephone, internet access, iron with ironing board, hair dryers, and wall safes.

Caribbean Travel Tip When to go December through mid-April is the most popular time to visit the Caribbean, as travelers flee the chilly northern weather for sunny skies, white-sand beaches, and warm temperatures. To get the best rates, visit in the late spring or summer months—or get even better rates by traveling in the fall (September–October).
