Les Flamboyants
Les Flamboyants - Saint-François, in Guadeloupe, Carribean, this wooded and nicely flowered resort benefits from the best view of Petite Terre, Marie Galante, the Saintes and the golf.

Saint François is situated on the north-east part of the island of Guadeloupe at about 30km from Pointe à Pitre. It's the sunniest part of the island, and it receives less rain than Pointe à Pitre, Gosier or the lower parts. Facing the atlantic ocean, you can find many white sandy beaches as well as numerous coral lagoons. One of the most beautiful lagoons of the small West Indies is located at Saint François.
The resort " Les Flamboyants " is located at the border of the golf course and the flying field. The entrance to the golf course is at 100 meters from the villas. " Les Flamboyants " are only 300 meters away from the town of Saint François. The rental of a car is therefore not absolutely necessary.
A small shopping center, " Les Arcades " , with a medical surgery, a caterer, a bakery and pastry shop can be found at 150m. A supermarket at the entrance of Saint François will allow you to buy of your necessary groceries. From the resort you can access the beach of the lagoon by foot (7/800 meters) To get to the other beaches, such as "route de la pointe des chateaux" or "la plage des raisins clairs" you need a means of transport, such as a bicycle or car (2-3km).

Safety Tips
Crime Information. Most visitors to the Caribbean have a relatively safe trip. However, thievery, purse snatching, and pick pocketing do happen, particularly in cities and at beaches. There has also been an increase in violent crimes, such as rape and assault against tourists. In some places, U.S. passports and identity documents are especially attractive to thieves. Robbery of yachts is a problem in some marinas.
Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
-- Safety begins when you pack. Leave expensive jewelry, unnecessary credit cards, and anything you would hate to lose at home.
-- Use a concealed money pouch or belt for passports, cash, and other valuables.
-- To facilitate replacing a lost or stolen passport, carry two extra passport photos and a photocopy of your passport information page and other identity documents with you in a separate place from those items.
-- Do not take valuables to the beach. When possible, use the hotel safe when you go to the beach or into town.
-- When you enter a marina, register with the local government authorities.
