Diving on Roatan
At the edge of the deepwater Cayman Trench lies Roatan in the Bay of Honduras. The western tip of the island reaches out into the deep waters with a gentle sloping reef.
Roatan offers something special for all her visitors, whether you are snorkeling over the shallow reef-tops or diving over her walls.
The diving is excellent year round with a water temperature that ranges between 23-31 degrees C (75-100 degrees F) and a visibility between 15-30m (40-100 feet.)
Island Pearl is located in West Bay, a sheltered beach at the western tip of the island. West Bays' white sandy beach and turquiose clear water is perfect for families and newcomers to the Caribbean. All the vibrant colours and creatures that make up a tropical reef can be found within the depths of the snorkeller, and the best sites to visit are only a short swim away from your door.
Snorkel Excursions by Boat:
To discover the fabulous underwater world far from the beaten track, Island Pearl offers a 3-hour guided tour to 2-3 different snorkel sites. This activity is great for non-divers, children and enthusiastic snorkellers. All equipment and a boat captain /local guide are provided for you.
