Our resort offers extensive recreational facilities, gourmet cuisine, a casual relaxed atmosphere, personal caring service and Bermudian hospitality that is second to none.
Pompano was founded in 1955 and actually opened as Bermuda's first fishing club. Our father, Thomas Lamb (an American from Boston, Massachusetts) initially partnered with a Bermudian (Ewing Trott) - purchasing the club outright from him in 1956 (following the passing of the "Pompano Act" in the Bermuda Parliament, which enabled him to own over 40% of a Bermudian business). Our family has owned and operated Pompano ever since.
Our Mother and Father turned the small fishing club into the resort that it is today by enlarging the main clubhouse, adding numerous facilities and gradually phasing in additional accommodation buildings. All of our guest room buildings are named after local game fish as a tribute to our fishing club heritage. We have gone to great lengths to maintain the casual elegance and cozy, intimate atmosphere that first made our resort popular.

The resort has a heated pool, wading/children's pool, two outdoor jacuzzis, shallow waterfront with private beach and extensive sand bar (ideal for swimming and snorkeling), watersports center (open early May to early Oct.) offering windsurfer, sailboat, kayak, snorkeling equipment rentals, clay court tennis court (with four all-weather courts within walking distance), fitness center, moped/scooter rentals, game room, shuffleboard court, golf at the adjacent Port Royal Golf Course, poolside bar, oceanfront restaurant, Monday evening rum swizzle party, cocktail lounge offering nightly entertainment most of the year, and complimentary shuttle service to/from nearby Rockaway ferry stop.
Pompano Beach has a new ocean front fitness center complete with an extensive array of cardio equipment and weights. Overlooking the beautiful south shore, there is no better place to stay in shape.
Pompano's picturesque, shallow waterfront is a haven for water lovers. At low tide, you can walk out over 250 yards on the silky, smooth pink sand ocean floor and snorkel atop the brilliant coral reefs which line the edge of the sandbar.
Bride's Magazine has described Pompano's spectacular sandbar as the "best underwater beach in the world."
There is no finer waterfront in Bermuda to swim, snorkel and enjoy water sports!
The Pompano Beach Club is a golfer's paradise. The resort adjoins Bermuda's top public golf course - the Robert Trent Jones designed Port Royal Golf Course. The first tee of this 6561 yard, par 71 championship course is a mere 500 yard walk from the resort. Many of the resort's rooms have a superb view of Port Royal's scenic par three, oceanfront 8th hole. Your tee times can be arranged when you make your room reservation and the resort will deliver/pick up your clubs to/from Port Royal during your stay.Pompano offers a year-round golf package.
Amenities:
All of the resort's accommodations offer spectacular ocean views. Rooms and suites are clustered in one and two story pink buildings, spread over a hillside that is covered with lush tropical foliage.
Each individually temperature controlled room or suite features beautiful rattan furnishings, a king size bed, A/C, mini-fridge, hair dryer, bath robes, iron, ironing board, telephone, clock radio, mini-safe, cable television, full bathroom, sitting area and outdoor patio or balcony.
Lower Snapper
All four of these Suites are located on the first floor of the Snapper Suites building. Each has a bedroom with a king size bed and a separate living room with a sofa bed, sitting area and partial ocean views. Sliding glass doors open to a private balcony.
Superior Rooms
Each of these rooms has a king size bed, a sitting area and sliding glass doors to a patio or balcony. These rooms are situated at different levels on the hillside with panoramic western views.
One Bedroom Suite - Each suite has a king size bed and separate living room with a sofa bed, sitting area and panoramic ocean views. Sliding glass doors open onto a private patio or balcony.
Each Deluxe room has a king size bed, sitting area and spectacular ocean views, with sliding glass doors onto a large private patio or balcony. These rooms also have spacious bathrooms with double sinks and separate tub and shower.

Bring light ponchos for rain gear. These can be purchased from most camping stores. Many stadiums also carry a light poncho to sell to fans of local football teams. These work great as well. They are small and light and easy to carry anywhere you go as a rain cloud can come in no time and dump a monsoon on your head.
