The BAHIA PRINCÍPE SAN JUAN HOTEL is located at km 18 on the Gaspar Hernández-Río San Juan road, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, 70 km from Puerto Plata airport (60-minute transfer) and a comfortable distance from towns such as Cabarete, Sosúa and Puerto Plata. It was opened in July 1995 and stands on a private 5-km-long beach sheltered by a coral reef. The hotel covers an area of over 1,5 million m2 and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with myriad mangroves all over the area surrounding the hotel.

The hotel has several tropical gardens along whose paths guests can stroll while enjoying the sea breeze and cool natural surroundings.

The BAHIA PRINCÍPE SAN JUAN HOTEL has 941 rooms, 96 of which belong to the HACIENDA PRÍNCIPE CLUB. All rooms are fully fitted standard doubles in villas 20 to 150 metres from the beach.


Nearby Attractions:
You'll be able to practice motorised and non-motorised watersports: windsurfing, catamarans, sunfish, kayaking, boogie boards, water skiing, etc. You'll have the opportunity to learn to dive, play tennis, football or volleyball, take bodybuilding, aerobics and merengue classes. You'll be able to play golf and go horse-riding. And if that's still not enough for you, you can always follow our programmes of daytime and evening entertainment for adults and children.

The complex also has two lake-type swimming-pools with children section, one of this with jacuzzi, and one activities pool, a large sundeck, sunshades, sunbeds and a towel service at the swimming-pools and beach. There's a Mini-Club for children, concert-hall/theatre, entertainment and evening shows. The hotel also has (floodlit) tennis courts, basketball courts, a miniature golf course, football pitch, watersports centre and a fully equipped gym.

Our large rooms have 2 single beds or one double, air conditioning, fully fitted bathrooms, hair-drier, cable TV (satellite) telephone with direct outside line, minibar, safe (extra charge) and cot rental (on request), and a balcony or terrace.
