More Info: We offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation in our own home at Coral Gardens, Hoopers Bay - a peaceful location with cooling breezes and beautiful views. We are perched on a breezy hilltop at Hooper's Bay with views of both the east and west coast of Great Exuma. We have three bright and airy rooms (one double and two twins).
Just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Powder Beach and only three miles from George Town, we offer flexible accommodation for up to 7 people in 3 rooms with private bathrooms, ceiling fans and/or air-conditioning and a small refrigerator for drinks.
As an alternative to Bed & Breakfast we can also offer a large self contained studio apartment at Coral Gardens, with full size kitchen, air conditioning, cable tv (cnn etc), king or twin beds.
So far, only a few select travelers know that only about an hour from South Florida and forty minutes from Nassau lies a chain of pristine and unspoiled islands waiting to entice you.
Arriving on Exuma takes you back to a quiet, relaxing island where you will be warmly greeted by some of the friendliest people you could meet.
The serenity of Exuma can be enhanced by fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling, boating, bicycling, tennis or generally exploring by rental car, scooter or taxi.
In George Town, the quaint capital, visit the Straw Market under the big African fig tree for locally made Bahamian souvenirs or stroll around Lake Victoria and absorb the local way of life.
Travel Flying to Exuma could not be easier - American Airlines fly from Miami either daily in the high season or several times a week in the low season. Bahamasair fly twice daily from Nassau. Other carriers fly from Fort Lauderdale whilst private pilots can make their way easily to George Town International Airport.
Clearing customs takes only moments with no visa or vaccination requirements from most countries.

Caribbean Travel Tip Driving in the Caribbean If you plan to rent a car, be aware that most jurisdictions of the Caribbean drive on the left. The only places where you drive on the right are Aruba, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles. In other places, if you are not used to driving on the left, proceed slowly and with utmost caution. You may wish to ride as a passenger for a while before trying to drive yourself.
Driving conditions and local driving patterns are different from the U.S. Many roads are narrow or winding, signs may not be in English, and in some places, domestic animals roam freely. Defensive driving is a must.
