As the terrain slopes downward, there is natural rock progressions and walkways built into the landscaping which enables water to be collected and retained for flowers and trees instead of rolling off the side of the mountain. St. Thomas is located in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), approximately 1200 miles south of Florida in the Lesser Antilles. The United States Virgin Islands are made up of three islands, St. Thomas, St. John, and St.Croix. Kingsbluff vacation villa is located on the northern tip of Peterborg, on St.Thomas. Although the house is located on st. thomas, it has a spectacular oceanfront view looking down the center of the antilles chain of islands, including Tortola and many of the other islands within the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
St. Thomas is the best known of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and has a population of 50,000. St. Thomas bustles with lively commerce, fantastic duty-free shopping, and has one of the world's most beautiful beaches, magens bay beach. St. John lies only about 3 miles to the East of St. Thomas and has a population of 7,500. St. John can be reached by a 20 minute ferry ride or day sail charter.
St. John is tranquil and laid back, but it has it's own pristeen qualities. Two thirds of the island is a national park which helps preserve this wonderful spot. With many beautiful beaches such as cinnamon bay beach, trunk bay, caneel bays 7 beaches and even some all-nude beaches. Donkeys roam freely on the island. The caribbean waters are tranquil and warm. St. Croix lies 30 miles to the South of St. Thomas and has a population of 45,000. St. Croix can be reached by seaplane in 30 minutes. St. Croix is the largest of the three US Virgin Islands, and is the most diverse, balancing tourism with agriculture and light industry.
The British Virgin Islands(bvi) lie in a chain directly to our North East, and can be seen from Kingsbluff. The BVI consists of 36 islands, with the largest being Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, and Virgin Gorda. The BVI is accessible by an hour ferry ride or day sail charter.
The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a spectacular rock formation and should not be missed if you have the time. Or sail to Jost Van Dyke and lounge in a hammock drinking a tropical painkiller at Foxy's or the Soggy Dollar Bar. Tortola offers many unspoiled beaches, and a monthly full moon party at the Bomba Shack, where you can rock the night away, drinking their famous mushroom punch and tea. If you are planning to travel to the BVI, please be sure to bring a passport or other proof of citizenship, as you will need to clear customs upon entry.
Nearby Attractions: Kingsbluff is proud to be affiliated with Happy Hour Charters. Captain Spencer and John will see that you have a fantastic time aboard this 36' Catamaran. Sit back and enjoy their famous rum punch, and sail your worries away as you sail to some of the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean. Book a half day or full day sail to St. John or the British Virgin Islands (bvi), Jost Van Dyke or Tortola, a snorkeling tour to Buck Islands, or enjoy a champagne sunset sail in Charlotte Amalie Harbor, in downtown St.Thomas.

Caribbean Travel Tip Safety Tips Crime Information. Most visitors to the Caribbean have a relatively safe trip. However, thievery, purse snatching, and pick pocketing do happen, particularly in cities and at beaches. There has also been an increase in violent crimes, such as rape and assault against tourists. In some places, U.S. passports and identity documents are especially attractive to thieves. Robbery of yachts is a problem in some marinas.
Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
-- Safety begins when you pack. Leave expensive jewelry, unnecessary credit cards, and anything you would hate to lose at home.
-- Use a concealed money pouch or belt for passports, cash, and other valuables.
-- To facilitate replacing a lost or stolen passport, carry two extra passport photos and a photocopy of your passport information page and other identity documents with you in a separate place from those items.
-- Do not take valuables to the beach. When possible, use the hotel safe when you go to the beach or into town.
-- When you enter a marina, register with the local government authorities.
