Paradise Found Villa
The perfect hideaway on St. Croix is on the southeastern end of the island, among the best sandy beaches, breathtaking views, and breezes that will lull you into tranquility. The villa is Paradise Found, and it can be yours for as long as you'd like.
|
More Info: Paradise Found is nestled into a hillside on St. Croix's residential East End. This uniquely designed West Indian style home is constructed as three separate buildings- adjoined together by an outdoor, wrap-around deck. The design offers open, airy spaces with private bedroom suites. Paradise Found offers exceptional views, a constant breeze from the southeast, and the many comforts of home.
Those who are looking to do absolutely nothing on their vacation will be happy sitting poolside at Paradise Found enjoying the view. But those who want to experience St. Croix will not be disappointed in what she has to offer.
The island had been under six different flags before the United States took possession in 1917. Because of it's rich history you will easily find traces of the French, Spanish, Dutch and particularly Danish influences. Begin your education about St. Croix in picturesque Christiansted, only 15 minutes from Paradise Found. Visit Fort Christianvaern, the Apothecary Hall, and the Steeple Building. Stroll along the Christiansted boardwalk to see the boating activity in the harbor, and while there, make sure to take advantage of the many great shops that bring the shaded galleries and arcades to life. There are so many unique St. Croix products to look for -- island inspired jewelry, glass, artwork, clothing, and food. Guided walking tours are available and maps and literature are available at the National Park service office, located right next to the Fort in the Scale House. From Christiansted or other locations closer to Paradise Found, you can take a 1/2 day or full day trip to Buck Island National Park, one of the only Underwater National Monuments in the U.S. Don't be surprised if playful stingrays want to befriend you while you enjoy the crystal clear water and prepare to snorkel along the trail with your guide. Enjoy snorkeling? Try scuba diving at one of 25 top rated dive sites on St. Croix, including the famed Wall at Cane Bay. Head to Frederiksted, on the west end of the island, and you can get a tour of Cruzan Rum, manufacturers of one of the world's best tasting rums - made at the same location by the same family for over 300 years. Take a drive through the tropical forest, or get a closer look on horseback. The guide will point out the many different plants and fruits that are indiginous to St. Croix. You can wander through the St. George Village Botanical Gardens, visit with plantation home owners, explore sugar mill ruins, and jump off the Frederiksted Pier. Don't miss the Estate Whim Plantation Museum and Greathouse, where the history of St. Croix unfolds before your eyes. Then you can head back to Paradise Found!
Nearby Attractions: Paradise Found faces southeast on St. Croix's south shore. From every room in the house you will see spectacular sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over the hills beyond.
When you decide to venture out of the comfortable Paradise Found Villa, you won't need to travel far. Beautiful beaches, snorkeling, hiking, water sports, dining, entertainment, golf, and tennis are less than 10 minutes away! Paradise Found is a short drive down the road (within walking distance) to Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino. Take a left out of Paradise Found and you will discover Grapetree Beach, a white sandy beach that is NEVER crowded. If you're feeling adventurous, walk to the point pictured above and find the staircase leading to Jack and Isaac Bays, two pristine bays protected by the Nature Conservancy. Guided hikes are available.
Take a right out of Paradise Found and you'll enter the world of Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino. The waterfront hotel has a wonderful beach complete with lounge chairs, thatched huts for shade, and a complete water sports facility. There is a casual poolside restaurant as well as a more formal dining room upstairs. Across the street is Divi Carina Bay Casino, the only casino in the Virgin Islands. There is live music nightly and free drinks for those who are gaming.
Amenities: The living room beckons you to sit - the beautifully crafted West Indian Mahogany furniture is attractive and comfortable. The airy space is a great family room with ceiling fans, Cable TV, a VCR, stereo with CD and tape player. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and almost every spice and seasoning imaginable. The open plan living space provides 180 degree views through the french doors. All rooms, including the kitchen and living area, are connected by decks so you always see the water. Paradise Found offers you the convenience and comfort of your own home. In fact, it's so comfortable that you may never want to leave. There are three bedrooms at Paradise Found - each with it's own bathroom. Bedrooms are accessed from the wrap-around deck, but not through the living space. This is ideal for privacy. The two upstairs bedroom suites at Paradise Found have ceiling fans and air conditioning. The a/c is usually not needed thanks to constant tropical breezes.
-Both master suites have Queen size beds and the third suite, by the pool, holds a Queen and 1 twin sized bed. -Other Amenities Include -Maid service midweek -Beach towels, chairs and coolers -Washer and Dryer -Outdoor Grill -Paperbacks -Board Games -The convenience of being less than 10 minutes from 5 different beaches, a casino, and water sports
