|
More Info: Cypress House is located in the "Valley" area off Copper Mine Road. From a bluff, you overlook Spring Bay, The Baths, Little and Valley Trunk Bays, across the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Tortola and beyond. Cast your eyes across the British Virgin Islands and all the way to the US Virgin Islands. Vacation in elegance in this unique 4500 square foot two bedroom home. A Word from the Owner
Let me introduce you to my villa managers and friends...
Sharon Flax Mars is a native British Virgin Islander who has been steeped in the traditions of the Caribbean resort industry from the cradle. Her family owns and runs nearby Fischer's Cove Hotel that includes a restaurant with one of the most romantic settings on the island. Her family also owns other entertainment and retail businesses catering to tourism here. She is no stranger to State-side ways and vacation expectations. Sharon has a degree in Resort Management from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, worked as a ticketing agent for American Airlines while they flew into Virgin Gorda, and lived in New York City where she worked at Windows on the World before returning home in 1993. She is a wife and mother and also works in personnel at Little Dix Bay Resort. Sharon will be available to you before and during your stay in order to assure that your vacation at Cypress House will be an unforgettable pleasure. I am proud to have Sharon with us.
Jacki Auer, a long time friend, knows Cypress House like the back of her hand, as she has lived in the villa for about ten years whenever we are away. She has taken care of it as though it were her own. Jacki, who hails from California, also has an extensive background in the resort industry. Her first job in the BVI was at the Anegada Reef Hotel more than twenty years ago. She's a pro at making guests comfortable in private vacation homes. For many years Jacki has managed a complex of houses for Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals at a bumpier part of the Island. She will pick you up at the dock or airport and help you to acclimate to your new environment.
With these experienced managers, I have total confidence that you will be in the best possible hands. All you have to do is ENJOY!
Nearby Attractions: Cypress House is located near The Baths on Virgin Gorda, the third largest of the British Virgin Islands, with a resident population of only 2,500 people. It is a tranquil, unspoiled island that has a year round temperature in the 80's. There are fabulous, boulder strewn, white sand beaches, national parks for walking, water sports, sail or motorboats for charter, deep sea fishing, excellent scuba diving, opportunities to windsurf, water ski, or horseback ride. But, perhaps just as important are the things Virgin Gorda does not have: no high rises, no neon signs, no traffic lights, no casinos, no golf, no movie theaters. Just several excellent restaurants and informal night clubs featuring local bands and performers.
Amenities: The Pool
Enjoy the lush tropical gardens and gaze at the spectacular sea views even as you float in the fifty thousand gallon free-form pool nestled between Virgin Gorda's distinctive boulders. Cypress House namesake tree stands between the pool and the verandah leading to the viewing tower.
The Verandah & Tower
Relax on the shady 1600 square foot verandah or take the spiral staircase to the viewing tower, both affording breathtaking panoramic views of the sea. Enjoy cheering on a regatta or getting lost in an intoxicating sunset. Marvel at the nocturnal illuminations of the occasional ship and revel in being at Cypress House.
The Great Room Cypress House thousand square foot Great Room boasts expansive marble floors, quarried stone terraces, cathedral ceilings, sumptuous appointments and astonishing privacy. Hear only the rustling of the palm trees, unless you're in the mood for stereo music, cable TV or a video. The Great Hall The Cypress House Great Hall offers a wet bar for your beverage needs and a spacious granite bedecked fully-equipped kitchen. Pick herbs for your dish or other eatables as you explore this more than two acre property. The Great Bedroom Cypress House eight hundred square foot Great Bedroom boasts Greek marble floors and His and Hers bathrooms. One includes an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi, the other with pink marble and a large walk-in closet.
Studio Bedroom
Down the spiral staircase with its own private entrance, stereo, air conditioning and bathroom with shower is the Cypress House Studio Bedroom. This 700 square foot dance and exercise studio has mirrored walls, stainless steel barre and floating maple floor to reduce shin splints. It's sparse stylish furnishings leave plenty of room to try out those dance moves or work out.
