Resort (FDR) is located in Runaway Bay on Jamaica’s picturesque north coast. Ideal for little people, small and intimate, it is truly a remarkable new level of all-inclusive luxury, comfort, security, service, pampering and old-fashioned fun for the whole family in sensational suites beside the ocean.
On arrival, each family is assigned a personal, trained Nanny to attend their every need. Vacation Nannies will babysit and become your child's companion, so parents are free to enjoy their holiday and find time for each other. By the end of your stay, she will become a part of your family. There are no "rooms" at FDR. Accommodation is in one, two or three-bedroom suites, each self-contained with its own kitchen and patio/terrace.

FDR is an all inclusive resort for families built in a low-rise Georgian Mediterranean architectural style, surrounded by gardens and fronting on a white sand beach. There are 3 restaurants, 3 swimming pools and separate activity centers for children and teens, providing a wide variety of supervised activities. Our new 100' waterslide Big Blue is creating a lot of excitement for kids and adults alike!
Nearby Attractions: At Franklyn D. Resort, we bend over backwards to ensure that each and every family member has a carefree and memorable experience. Specific programs are carefully designed to include activities that infants, children and teens love. Vacation Nannies are always there to accompany your children as they make their way through all the programs, activities and games we have in store for them.
The pool area features a a separate shallow wading pool for toddlers and small children as well as a separate "slide" pool which is quite a hit with the youngsters. Vacation Nannies will keep a close watch on the little ones so the parents can also relax while the kids splash and safely have fun. Kids can also enjoy sports facilities offered by FDR. There are soccer lessons and snorkeling lessons, glass-bottom boat rides and kayaks, tennis and basketball and bicycle rides. They certainly won't forget this vacation any time soon.
The Kiddie's Centre is the hub of activity for children of different ages and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Our children’s program is as varied and enjoyable as the junior guests themselves. The real youngsters have their own playground, arts and crafts centre, paddling pool and activity programs like shell hunts along the beach and tie dye classes. While having fun, children will learn about coral life, enter a talent contest, participate in swimming lessons, make a tie dye outfit and learn about Jamaica. Our Kiddies Center programs are wholesome, enriching and fun! - Computers - Leathercraft - Super Nintendo 64 - Fishing - TV Room - Shell-Collecting - Soccer with Instructions - Tie-and-Dye Lessons - Art and Craft Room with lessons - Photography lessons - Snorkeling lessons - Beach Picnics - Cooking and napkin-folding classes - Children's playgrounds - Afternoon and Night Beach games The Mini Club is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm daily and is just bursting with the latest educational computer games, toys of all kinds plus art and craft activities in the Outdoor Craft Centre, Nintendo games and a TV room. The staff provide hours of supervised fun for children from 2 to 11 years including such things as photography and videography lessons, snorkeling lessons, tie and dye lessons, shell collecting, a kiddies’ theme dinner and disco, pajama and toga parties. Parents must advise Kiddies Centre Coordinators whether the child is permitted to join in outside activities or should remain inside. Children over 4 years must be signed in and out if unaccompanied by an adult. Check Activities Board for daily kids activities.

Resort, located directly on the beach front, features 76 spacious, air-conditioned suites housed in 8 low-rise buildings of distinct Georgian/ Mediterranean style architecture. Ideal for families, one, two and three-bedroom suites are beautifully furnished. Most have ocean view and are self-contained, with their own kitchen and spacious balcony or terrace! The best in luxury and comfort.
One Bedroom Suites: - Separate living room with day-bed and dining room, ceiling fan, satellite TV and telephone - Private balcony, most with an ocean-view. - Full kitchen (equipped with utensils, refrigerator and stove). - Additional rollaway bed and crib available at no additional cost. - Square footage: up to 540 sq. ft. - Maximum occupancy: 2 adults and 3 children under 16 years. - Private air-conditioned bedroom with one king sized bed or two twin sized beds - Full bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Two Bedroom Suites: -Private air-conditioned master bedroom complete with a king sized bed and full bathroom with shower and bathtub. -The second private bedroom is also air-conditioned with two twin beds and a full bathroom with shower and bathtub. - Separate living room with day-bed and dining room, ceiling fan, satellite TV, telephone and full kitchen. - Additional rollaway bed and crib available at no additional cost. - Balcony or patio, some with a view of the ocean. - Square footage: up to 1080 sq.ft - Maximum occupancy: up to 4 adults and 3 children under 16 years old or 3 adults and 4 children under 16 years old. - There is a minimum charge for 3 persons. Three Bedroom Suites: -Two private air-conditioned bedrooms each with a king size bed and full bathroom with shower and bathtub for each room. - Spacious patio. - The third private air-conditioned bedroom has two twin beds and a full bathroom with shower and bathtub, separate living room with day-bed, dining room, satellite TV, telephone and full kitchen. - Additional rollaway bed and crib available at no additional cost. - Maximum occupancy: up to 6 adults and 3 children or 5 adults and 4 children. - There is a minimum charge for 5 persons. FDR's all-inclusive holiday includes:
