More Info: Eleuthera comes from the Greek meaning freedom. The island was originally known as Cigatoo to the local Arawak Indians. It is one hundred miles long and a stone's throw wide in most places. The island is famous for its pineapples and pink sand beaches along the Atlantic coast. The shoreline is varied and scattered with cliffs, sheltered coves and offshore coral reefs.
Governor's Harbour is located half way down the island. It claims to be the original settlement of the Eleutheran adventurers who fled religious persecution and political persecution. The climate is pleasant year round with the rainy season lasting from May to November, when the humidity is high and hurricanes are a possibility. Casual summer clothes and beachwear is sufficient.
Nearby Attractions: The island also offers world class fishing, snorkelling in coral gardens and bonefishing. Alternatively, simply relax with a good book.
Amenities: The hotel is composed of 19 rooms and three suites with ocean or garden views. They are shared in three buildings surrounding the swimming pool. All rooms have balconies or patios with private chairs and tables from which you can enjoy the cool breeze and splendid gardens. The rooms are spacious and all have air conditioning and private bath.
