The best fishing in the Bahamas is at Tranquility Hill, Andros Island, Bahamas. You are just minutes away from miles of virgin flats, teaming with trophy size bonefish.

Tranquility Hill Fishing Lodge is at the eastern entrance of the North Bight Andros Island, Bahamas (The Sleeping Giant); you are just minutes away from the Middle and South Bights where there are miles and miles of virgin flats, teaming with trophy size bonefish. There are numerous creeks and lakes where you may capture a record size Tarpon, Grey Snapper and Jacks in fresh water lakes.
When the tide is right, you can see schools of trophy size bonefish from your window, only one hundred feet from your room. In addition to the many bonefish flats, you may choose to fish the three "Sunken Rocks" where you find large quantities of Barracudas, Permits, Spanish Mackerels and Mutton Snappers or you may choose to fish off the third largest reef in the world for Dolphins, Marlins, Tunas, Kingfish, Wahoo, or the Graceful Sail Fish, just five minutes away from Tranquility Hill.

If you choose not to fish you may beach comb, sun bathe or collect shells on the seemingly endless white sand beach of Wood Cay.
On lazy days you may wish to lay around in your spacious air conditioned room, and watch satellite television, play chess, checkers, or connect four with your traveling partner. You may even just lounge in our lounge and watch for bone fish swimming in the flats or try a game with one of our smiling bartenders.
Our guides are experienced and local to the area with first hand knowledge of the seemly endless flats and the habits of of the elusive and finicky bonefish.
The sixteen foot Dolphin skiffs we use are completely equipped with every thing needed for a day of fishing and are powered by a 40 H.P. engine.
Deep sea fishing and shark fishing are available and can be organized by Tranquility Hill staff. It is hard to run out of things to do at Tranquility Hill Fishing Lodge!!

Safety Tips
Crime Information. Most visitors to the Caribbean have a relatively safe trip. However, thievery, purse snatching, and pick pocketing do happen, particularly in cities and at beaches. There has also been an increase in violent crimes, such as rape and assault against tourists. In some places, U.S. passports and identity documents are especially attractive to thieves. Robbery of yachts is a problem in some marinas.
Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
-- Safety begins when you pack. Leave expensive jewelry, unnecessary credit cards, and anything you would hate to lose at home.
-- Use a concealed money pouch or belt for passports, cash, and other valuables.
-- To facilitate replacing a lost or stolen passport, carry two extra passport photos and a photocopy of your passport information page and other identity documents with you in a separate place from those items.
-- Do not take valuables to the beach. When possible, use the hotel safe when you go to the beach or into town.
-- When you enter a marina, register with the local government authorities.
