Andros Lighthouse Yacht Club & Marina
This Bahamas resort offers an 18-slip marina with all the amenities for yachtsmen, as well as comfortable onshore accommodations. Twelve rooms with king-size beds and eight rooms with two double beds are available, each with air-conditioning and private bath.

Andros is known for being very relaxed. You can take long romantic walks along the beach...lay by our freshwater pool and soak up our warm tropical sun...explore our beautiful island. Andros has exotic wildlife and unexplored landscape.
Our 18 slip marina is a full service facility. We offer diesel, gas, electricity, water, ice, laundry, cable TV, showers, bar & restaurant and dive shop.
Travel to Andros Lighthouse is easy with a little planning. From Nassau, Bahamasair has daily flights departing Nassau Airport (NAS) to Fresh Creek.
The flight is a short 15 minute hop. When flying over look down and when you see the ocean turn a deep blue you are over the "tongue of the ocean". Here the water drops from a depth of 25 feet to 6,000 feet, a divers and fishermens paradise. The US Navy also uses this area for submarine testing.

If you rent a car some of the most spectacular Blue Holes can be found here. Created 10,000 years ago by rain water when most of the ocean water was trapped in glaciers and the Bahamas was high and dry.
Besides the relaxed true island atmosphere Andros Island is also recognized as a prime diving and fishing location. We have miles of salt water flats where anglers can try their skill at trophy sized bonefish. Just a few miles offshore is the "Tongue of the Ocean" a deep water trench where lurks the "deep big fish".
We have on premise a full dive shop with experienced guides. Divers can experience some of the most unique dives anywhere. Andros Undersea Adventures can arrange a safe and exciting dive experience. Here you can reef dive, cave, wall, blue holes or just take a leisurely dive. The dive shop can advise you to insure a safe and pleasurable dive.
For night life Andros Lighthouse has a bar and restaurant on premise or you might wish to venture into Fresh Creek just across the bay.
Hanks Place, on the bay, is a favorite of locals and the thirsty tourists. Hank serves good food, strong drinks and an outlook on life that he is willing to share with anyone for the price of a drink.

Our Villas have stone tile floors, ceiling fans and either a balcony or patio. Includes AC, refrigerator, cable TV, phone and plenty of space for you to relax in.

Safety Tips
Crime Information. Most visitors to the Caribbean have a relatively safe trip. However, thievery, purse snatching, and pick pocketing do happen, particularly in cities and at beaches. There has also been an increase in violent crimes, such as rape and assault against tourists. In some places, U.S. passports and identity documents are especially attractive to thieves. Robbery of yachts is a problem in some marinas.
Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
-- Safety begins when you pack. Leave expensive jewelry, unnecessary credit cards, and anything you would hate to lose at home.
-- Use a concealed money pouch or belt for passports, cash, and other valuables.
-- To facilitate replacing a lost or stolen passport, carry two extra passport photos and a photocopy of your passport information page and other identity documents with you in a separate place from those items.
-- Do not take valuables to the beach. When possible, use the hotel safe when you go to the beach or into town.
-- When you enter a marina, register with the local government authorities.
