More Info: Situated on Negril's 7-mile beach, with fine white sands and pristine waters, you will find CocoLaPalm. Jamaican beauty and tranquility inspired CocoLaPalm's distinctive octagonal architecture with open courtyards, lush tropical gardens, and stunning views. Two restaurants and a beachside bar encourage guests to enjoy the outdoors even when taking a break from them. And being newly completed in 1997, CocoLaPalm's luxury is polished cleanliness. Seventy-five spacious guest rooms range from 400 to 540 square feet in size. If you want the really luxurious way why not book our special villa, situated right on the beach called CocoVilla. Your accommodations will include either one king or two queen size beds, a large private bath, an air-conditioner and ceiling fan, cable television with remote control, direct dial telephone, a refrigerator and a coffee maker with complimentary world-famous Jamaican coffee. Enjoy the evening air from your private patio, terrace or balcony. Relax at the large courtyard swimming pool, jacuzzi hot tub or the private beach where lounge chairs and beach towels are free of charge.

Year around, each and every week, come and join in the fun at CocoLaPalms Monday night Cocktail Party. Horsd'oeuvre, rum punch, beer and wine, soft drinks are all yours to enjoy as you listen to out wandering minstrel singing all the famous Jamaican and Caribbean songs. Again, one night a week you will enjoy the same wandering minstrel as he wanders among the tables of Negril's finest open-air verandah restaurant on the beach.
Nearby Attractions: Jamaica has often times been described as paradise. What this means is unique to everyone. To some it's the perfect, consistent weather. To others its the local color of another culture. To others yet it's the slow-paced way of life, as if the demands of the sea for quiet contemplation are more important than the demands of work. To almost all, however, it's the sugary-white sands and brilliant blue seas. 7-mile Beach is one of Jamaica's most famous. Lined with resorts and restaurants, the visitor is sure to fill many days with beach activity, whether it be lounging with a drink and a good book, or pushing one's limits with a day of parasailing.
CocoLaPalm is located on 7-mile Beach, with many beach-facing rooms very close to the waterfront. Other rooms face either the pool area, or our lush tropical gardens.
CocoLaPalm maintains twenty-four hour attendants to pamper your every need. A short walk from your chair or a wave to our beach attendant will land you a delisious tropical fruit drink or your choice of foods from our Beach Grill.
Information on the following activities is readily available at the CocoLaPalm front desk: parasailing, snorkeling equipment lessons and rental, scuba diving equipment lessons and rental, sailboat rental, banana-boat rides, moped rental, fine dining, casual dining, and more.

Caribbean Travel Tip Ocean Undercurrents If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
