Country Country
Country Country - Negril, Jamaica. A collection of 14 individual spacious one bedroom studio & deluxe studio cottages. Rekindle your spirit at Country Country. Bask in the "irie" atmosphere of our colonial style, rustic cottages on Negril's world famous seven-mile white sand beach.
|
More Info: Designed by renowned architect Ann Hodges, - winner of the Governors General's Award for Excellence in Woodcraft - these cottages epitomize the best of old Jamaican country living, yet are flavored with many modern luxuries.
Well known for its Chinese and Jamaican cuisine, our restaurant and bar offer sumptuous meals directly on the beach.
Join us at Country Country and experience the "old Negril" in its grand Jamaican style.
Nearby Attractions: You wake. Another day in paradise. Sunlight creeps around the curtains swaying gently in the morning breeze. Shadows dance playfully on the walls of your room.
What should you do today? Sailing, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling or horseback riding? Perhaps a tour? The Appleton Rum Estate Tour? The Black River Safari? Perhaps a jog along the beach will help you make up your mind. With seven miles of powder-fine white sand stretching endlessly before you there'll be plenty of time to decide. That is if you can avoid the temptation to stop and have a delicious Jamaican breakfast at one of many beachfront restaurants!
The smell of freshly brewed Blue Mountain coffee wafting up from the beach bar brings you back to the present. As you roll over, your partner stirs and mumbles "What are you doing"? You're about to reply when you realize that you've decided what you want to do. "Nothing", you say softly, as you close your eyes and drift back to sleep.
The fun never stops in Negril. During the day you can parasail, sail, snorkel, ski, scuba dive or even go on Safari! The Black River Safari on Jamaica's longest navigable river is just 30 minutes away by car. The spectacular Y.S. Falls are only 45 minutes away. For those who like rum, Appleton Estate offers a fun-filled tour of its estate with free samples!!
To help you plan your trip we've made a list of our favorite attractions. Your travel can arrange for you to pick up your rental car at the airport on your arrival. If you just want a car for a day or two there are several rental agencies in Negril.
Amenities: All cottages feature one king or two twin beds, mini fridge, coffee maker, in-room safes, verandah-style balcony. Deluxe studio cottages are oversized and also accommodate a day bed.

Caribbean Travel Tip Driving in the Caribbean If you plan to rent a car, be aware that most jurisdictions of the Caribbean drive on the left. The only places where you drive on the right are Aruba, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles. In other places, if you are not used to driving on the left, proceed slowly and with utmost caution. You may wish to ride as a passenger for a while before trying to drive yourself.
Driving conditions and local driving patterns are different from the U.S. Many roads are narrow or winding, signs may not be in English, and in some places, domestic animals roam freely. Defensive driving is a must.
