More Info:
For ten years we have been designing and building the kind of family & group friendly resort that we dreamed of visiting for years.

We love Jamaica, and want to share our piece of paradise with a limited number of the travel-wise, who love the climate and culture but can do without the throng of tourists crowding beaches and bars. On the undeveloped southwest coast, Lost Beach Resort is the only game in town.

Like the Negril of yore, we are located in a small, peaceful fishing village, on a beach where turtles nest and the doctor bird flourishes. Only minutes from the shows and shopping of Negril, we are light-years from its hustle and bustle. We have a beautiful tropical restaurant and bar, a large pool and jacuzzi, and fourteen brand new one, two, and three bedroom beachfront apartments along with three new beach cabins to offer those who have figured out that all-inclusive might as well be a Holidome in Hoboken.

You want comfort and class and good food. Your kids want entertainment too. Nightlife is great, but after a night on the town you want to stargaze, read a book, or just enjoy some peace and quiet. Lost Beach Resort is 15 minutes from Negril in reality, but light years from its frenetic pace. We're located on the beach of a fishing villiage where Jamaicans come every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to buy fish and lobster from the boats of our local fisherman. That about sums up life at Lost Beach. We run shuttles to Negril for the energetic, and maintain a peaceful calm for their return. We will baby sit your kids so that you can enjoy a worry-free evening out or a romantic night in.

Share a drink on our roof-top patio while watching the moonrise over the mountains and sea. Swim in our pool while gazing out over a natural beach where turtles nest and land crabs rule. You can fish with the Jamaicans or charter a deep sea fishing boat, snorkel or scuba dive, read or sleep in a hammock, go horseback riding on the beach, kayak on the class 3 Cabarita River, or catch a shuttle to Negril's new golf course. You can buy your lunch from the fishermen and cook it in your own apartment kitchen, or enjoy our beachfront restaurant menu of Jamaican, American and Continental dishes. All of the apartments have porches perfect for watching the sun rise over the mountains and airconditioning for more private lounging. Your kids might be dragged from our pool long enough to enjoy the games and videos at the Kid's Klubhouse while you enjoy the jacuzzi or shoot some pool. Bring a book, but if you forget or finish, we have a large selection of books to share in our library. Walk around the Community and see the Real Jamaica that most tourists miss.

Amenities:
Romantic Rustic Beach Cabins:
The beach cabin is a wooden cabin with a small bath area (toilet and boat-style shower), a cubbyhole kitchen with sink, small fridge, 2 burner stove top, toaster & coffee maker, a small sitting area (loveseat & table with 2 chairs) and a porch on the ground floor 50 feet from the ocean. A ladder takes you to the loft which has a queen size bed, a fan and a small balcony sitting area. It is rustic, but quite charming too, with a thatched roof and lots of privacy - it is about 150 ft. down the beach from our main facilities.

Luxury 2 & 3 Bedroom Suites:
Each building has four or five apartments, 2 two bedroom units on the ground floor and two 3 bedroom units on the upper floor, with all five one bedroom apartments in a separate building. As can be seen from the floor plans and pictures, each unit has bedrooms, kitchen /dining area, living room , full bath and seaside veranda. Every apartment comes completely furnished with all the things you need for comfortable beach living.

Lost Beach Resort is planned to be 20 beachfront apartments, 10 one bedroom, 6 two bedroom and 4 three bedroom units all with ocean side verandas. Phase I opened in 1998 and has 4 lower level two bedrooms and 4 upper level three bedroom units along with three ocean front cabins. Phase II opened in June of 2002 with 5 one bedroom apartments.
Each unit has a private bath with tub and shower, a complete kitchenette, a dining area, living room and seaside porch. The apartment is fully furnished, including pots, pans, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker (for those sunrise mornings), with Jamaican Blue Mahor furniture, all just 50 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Phase I includes, the pool complex with jacuzzi, kiddie pool and pool side food and beverage service, and the main restaurant building. Our restaurant has an open bar area, seaside dining and an upper, open air dining area with the most incredible food and views.

About St John, U.S. Virgin Islands About St John, U.S. Virgin Islands - St. John
Of all the islands, St John is probably the most unspoiled, thanks to the contribution of one of the world's best known philanthropists, Laurence Rockefeller. Had it not been for Rockefeller's gift of money and his desire to preserve beautiful St John, the landscape would probably look more commercial, much like the other Virgin Islands.

Caribbean Travel Tip

Shower Water
Most people know to ask for unopened bottled water when traveling, but may not realize that it's all too easy to get sick from ingesting water while showering. The solution: Keep mouthwash in your mouth while showering.
