Casa Martia
Ocean front house to rent with sandy beach, ocean views, near Cancun, Mexico. Stay at Casa Martia on your Mexican vacation and enjoy the pool, seashore and the Riviera Maya.
|
More Info: Enjoy our beautiful vacation home! Located on the beach a few miles from town, we have privacy from neighbors (the closest neighbors are a few hundred feet away on each side!), 225 feet of ocean frontage, 32-foot pool, outside bar, and a second-floor sun deck.
A garden of coconut palm trees and other tropical plants between the pool and the ocean provide you with privacy and the natural beauty of the birds and breezes to serenade you. The deep shade under the palm trees is perfect for a nap in the lounge chair or hammock, and is a nice spot for a BBQ, too! The patio by the bar is shady all day, except first thing in the morning, of course, as the home faces the Sunrise!
Martha is our Manager in México. She is bilingual, and will be available to meet you at the airport, and help you get settled into the house. Martha has lived in Cancun for many years, and has really helped to make our house a home! We offer housekeeping services three days per week, including clean linens and towels. If you don't want to do your own grocery shopping, Martha will see to your shopping for you…you reimburse her only for the groceries. She can stock the kitchen with your favorite foods and beverages prior to your arrival. Martha will be available to you by cell phone; we pay for the local cell phone services. Eugenio is our on-site caretaker. He is responsible for security at the house, cleanup of the pool and beach, care of the gardens and fixing maintenance problems…but he also knows how to be discreet, so your privacy is protected. He can communicate with Martha whenever necessary by cell phone, so if a problem arises, you are covered. It's great to have someone "local" on site for some of the "little things!"
The house is large and spacious, with high ceilings, comfortable furniture, and modern conveniences. There are two bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom has its own balcony overlooking the pool and ocean, satellite TV, state-of-the-art air conditioning, plenty of closet space, dresser, and private bathroom (showers, no tub.) The Master Bedroom has a king bed, and a door to the sun deck, and stairs down to the patio! The guest room has two queen beds. The first floor features a large living room with a comfortable sofa, love seat and armchair, satellite TV, and a pool table! The dining room seats six, and is between the kitchen and the outside bar. At night, when the pool and patio are lit, this is an absolutely beautiful place to dine and spend the evening. The kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of counter space. There are Mexican glass ware and dishes for the dining room and unbreakable dishes for the pool area. We have a microwave, juicer, coffee maker, pots and pans, and a blender for those yummy tropical drinks you'll want to sip around the pool. Outside, there are patio tables and chairs for dining, and a gas-grill. The kitchen has a propane stove. Hot water in the house is propane, also. There is a half bath on the first floor. A twin bed is available for extra sleeping downstairs, if needed. Paddle fans are in every room of the house and there are full-size sliding, screened windows throughout the house that overlook the pool, gardens, and ocean, so no matter what room you are in, you will know you're in beautiful, tropical Mexico!
DIRECTIONS: It's easy to get to Casa MartÃa! Fly to Cancun International Airport, Quintana Roo, México! Most flights arrive around 1:00 pm and depart Cancun at 2:00 or 3:00 pm. Most vacations are Saturday to Saturday, but we will do our best to accommodate your chosen schedule. After you land and go through customs, rent a car right at Cancun International Airport. (You can reserve ahead of time via the Internet, or wait until you arrive. There are several car rental agencies available at the airport.)
Exit the Airport, and travel South on the highway, following signs for Puerto Morelos and/or Tulum. As you travel on this divided highway, you will pass signs for Moon Palace, Hotel Bahia Maya, and Los Naranjas Restaurant. After ten minutes or so of driving, start to pay attention to the left side of the highway, as you are looking for the paved road next to the "Crococun Zoological Park" building.
Cross the highway and travel down this paved road next to Crococun, for about a mile, to its end. Turn left onto our beach road heading North, pass by the Playa Sur property and a few more homes, and then you'll find the sign for Casa MartÃa!
If you miss the cross over to Crococun, don't worry! Just continue to the lights at Puerto Morelos, turn around and head back North, then when you see the sign for "AcaMaya Hotel" and the Crococun Building, turn right onto the paved road next to Crococun and continue as above.

How to Make Authentic Mexican Cerviche - Playa del Carmen First let me explain why I call it authentic Mexican cerviche. Caribbean Travel Tip Travel Insurance Travel insurance is the best way to protect yourself against financial loss. The most useful plan is a comprehensive policy that includes coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, default, trip delay, and medical expenses (with a waiver for preexisting conditions).
Without insurance, you will lose all or most of your money if you cancel your trip or have to cut it short, regardless of the reason. Default insurance covers you if your tour operator, airline, or cruise line goes out of business. Trip-delay covers unforeseen expenses that you may incur due to bad weather or mechanical delays. Study the fine print when comparing policies.
For overseas travel, one of the most important components of travel insurance is its medical coverage. Supplemental health insurance will pick up the cost of your medical bills should you get sick or injured while traveling.
U.S. residents should note that Medicare generally does not cover health-care costs outside the United States, nor do many privately issued policies.
Residents of the United Kingdom can buy an annual travel-insurance policy valid for most vacations taken during the year in which the coverage is purchased.
If you are pregnant or have a pre-existing condition, make sure you're covered.
Always buy travel insurance directly from an insurance company or agent; if you buy it from a cruise line, airline, or tour operator that goes out of business, you probably will not be covered for the agency or operator's default, a major risk. Before you make any purchase, review your existing health and home-owner's policies to find out whether they cover expenses incurred while traveling.
