We are the one of the leading tour operators in the area offering many land based trips directly from our resort and with our own guide or driver . We offer many trips that we do not individually price but package with other trips such as, San Ignacio butterfly farm, One thousand foot falls, Five Sisters Lake National park, Ix Chel nature walk and herb farm, Blue hole National Park at Caves Branch, shopping in San Ignacio, Red Bank for the Scarlet Macaw breeding, banana farm tours and many other trips. We drive an average 200 hundred times through the country of Belize a year and can show you many of its wonderful cultural sites, tastes and sounds. Our land excursions are normally transported in a four door, air conditioned vehicle that is very comfortable and gives a personal trip with no more then four passengers.

March - May
WHALE SHARK TOUR- Come and see these wonderful graceful giants! Ranging from 15' to 30' snorkel and observe these docile creatures.(More on Whale Shark page)We are a field station for Whale Shark Research Group, Inc. and are involved in the study at the reef of whale sharks. We normally snorkel with the sharks. We do offer whale sharks trips as mentioned above. Due to the movement of the whale sharks, diving is not the best whale to enter the environment of the whale shark. Again, due the movement, in which they are following food sources, we are able to spend more time with them in the water by following them to different locations and snorkeling with them. But, our primary concern is the whale shark and its protection. Some divers due to their ability to remain under water for the period of tend to stress the whale shark by constant contact and holding on. But, we do work with dive operations that will take you out on the specific dates that are particularly good to see them.
The 2002 whale shark season has finished up and we are happy that all our guests that went out to see them were able to experience the incredible presence of the whale shark. We want to extend a special thank you to Guy Harvey and his crew for spending time with us and we look forward to your new art work with the whale sharks.

MONKEY RIVER
Located in southern Belize near Placencia, this popular tour takes guests down the lagoon to the Monkey River where they will cruise up the river seing many birds, plants and trees. It might be possible to see a manatee or dolphin along the way. Then hike nw-cut jungle paths to spot howler monkeys, iguanas and much more. Then lunch on the shore of the Monkey Rive r and a visit to the local village on the way back down.
Land based trips
COCKSCOMB BASIN - Visit the only Jaguar preserve in the world. Enjoy excellent hiking into the rain forest where the abundance of butterflies, orchids and birds will captivate you. Also, enjoy the Mayan village at the entrance where you can pick up a little something in the gift shop.
CAVING AND TUBING AT CAVES BRANCH - here is a great trip for those who like to have a little adventure/ scenery and history all wrapped up in one great trip....this is a favorite of the staff of Soulshine. We take you up to the state park Blue Hole off the Humming Bird Highway and you are guided by trained and skilled guides into the caves of the Mayan Mountains. You venture up by tubes and hike into the cave in which you will explore the Mayan civilizations history found on the walls of the underground. Have lunch as you observe the stalactites and stalagmites hundreds of yards below the mountains. Well....we will not tell you it all
MAYAN RUINS - Xunantunich is a favorite. Now under reconstruction by the Belize Archaeology Department it is an amazing feat. Enjoy a scenic trip through the Mayan Mountains and hike the 130' tall ruins.
Kayaks are free to use for our guests. An early morning or afternoon leisure paddle through the lagoon gives a relaxing scenic trip, check out the manatee or dolphin that reside just a short paddle from our beach.
If you would like to see the zoo we have the best way to do it. On your departing day allow us to drive you the scenic country side up the Humming Bird Highway and stop at the zoo and catch lunch at a near by restaurant, then be dropped off at the International Airport.

Our tub room has two large tiled tubs in our spa room with a beautiful originally Mayan thatched ceiling, with shower, changing area and are positioned that if you would like to have a friend experience the ritual there is a tub across positioned for you to sit back relax converse with one another and look out at the ocean.
