Placencia is a little piece of paradise located at the top of a peninsula 65 miles south of Belize City. The peninsula is laden with a quiet, refreshing, unspoiled and un-crowded beach. Both casual and exotic accommodations can be found along the peninsula. We welcome all visitors to come and taste the spice or life in our warm and friendly village.
A great place to feel the soft gentle breeze of the Caribbean Ocean 30 feet away. Lay on the warm sandy beaches, go for a swim in the crystal blue waters, relax in one of our seaside beach chairs or in one of our swaying hammocks under the shade of a graceful coconut tree.
Caribbean nights are safe as our nightly security patrols quiet grounds until day break.

Be sure to pack an effective topical antibiotic cream. The smallest scratch or insect bite can quickly become infected. Try "Bactriban" or "Polysporin". To prevent ringworm, the most effective product is "Nizoral" - sold over the counter as an anti-dandruff shampoo.
