CORAL BEACH HOTEL & DIVE CLUB is situated on the main street of town,about 50 yards from the sea. We have 19 clean and comfortable rooms,all with private baths with hot and cold water,ceiling fan,double beds and with or without air conditioning.

AMBERGRIS CAYE has a population of over two thousand very friendly people. The main industry here is fishing. There are a few hotels, bars, stores and gift shops. The Great Barrier Reef, the largest in the Western Hemisphere, is one of San Pedro's most splendid attractions The 190-mile long reef lends itself for fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving to admire lavender sea fans, exotically coloured coral and rainbows of skittering fishes that abound in waters with visibility of up to 200 feet. For this reason we can offer you the best in fishing, diving and snorkeling in the crystal, warm shallow waters.
FISHING, The waters surrounding Ambergris Island are one of the truly unusual fishing areas to be found anywhere. Casting among the coral heads and cuts, you can catch a variety of fish including grouper snapper, jack, angel fish, trigger fish, parrot fish, barracuda and ling. In the flat of the leeward side of the island, there exists the opportunity for some of the world's greatest bonefishing. In the deep channels, tarpon weighing 40 to 80 pounds are not unusual. The native fishing guides of Coral Beach Hotels are excellent boatmen, courteous, attentive and interested in your success.

Residence or Investments in the Caribbean
You will need a passport and visas to reside in or to conduct or start a business in the Caribbean. Although some Caribbean countries welcome retirees or others of independent means as long-term residents, requests for work permits are rarely granted. Before you travel, apply to the country's embassy or consulate in the United States to obtain a visa if you wish to reside, go into business, or work in the country.
U.S. citizens who wish to invest in the Caribbean, such as in real estate or a business, should first thoroughly investigate the company making the offer and, in addition, learn about the investment climate in the country. A good resource is the Trade Information Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce, telephone 1-800-USA-TRADE. The Center can tell you how to access the National Trade Data Bank. Among the things you can learn are how to find out if the company is registered with local authorities and how to get in touch with local trade associations. Before signing a contract for a timeshare or other real estate, you may wish to consult with a lawyer. You will need to check whether the contract contains the same safeguards as do similar contracts in the U.S., such as the retention of timeshare rights if the property is sold. You should also determine whether the builder or seller has a clear title.
