Xanadu Island Resort
Xanadu is the first monolithic dome resort in the world! Located on Ambergris Caye, wake up every morning to a brilliant sunrise over the Caribbean Sea.
|
More Info: If you're looking for an Island getaway that will rejuvenate you mind, body and soul, then look no further. Xanadu Island Resort lies hidden on an inviting palm lined beach, overlooking the Caribbean and the Barrier Reef. Just a short walk to San Pedro Town, Xanadu Island Resort is close enough to enjoy the restaurants and other amenities of town, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet and relaxed.
The coral reef, just offshore Ambergris Caye, Belize is the most splendid in the western hemisphere with 250 species of fish and colorful coral, incomparable diving, snorkeling and deep sea fishing.
Belize is squarely on the map as one of the leading eco-tourism destinations with vast areas of untouched rain forest containing a great variety of animal habitats - a haven for bird watchers.
More than 900 Mayan ruins are scattered around the country. With a population of only 220,000, Belize remains relaxed, intimate and cosmopolitan.
San Pedro Town is located near the southern end of Ambergris Caye and has a variety of restaurants, dive and gift shops and all the amenities one requires.
The Island is serviced by air, a 15 minute flight or a 60 minute boat ride from Belize City.
The Government of Belize encourages foreign investment and offers many unique advantages to property owners including:
- No capital gains tax. - No inheritance or estate tax. - Low annual real estate taxes. Belize has a stable government. English is the main language though on the Island, many people speak Spanish as well.
There are daily non-stop flights from Houston, Dallas and Miami to the International Airport just outside Belize City.
Nearby Attractions: Scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing or guided eco-tours to the rain forest jungle or Mayan ruins can be arranged. The dive and tour boats collect and return our guests to our private pier.
Amenities: Our luxurious condominium suites offer fully equipped kitchens, living/dining, two bathrooms, central air conditioning, cable tv, telephones and large shaded decks overlooking the pool and ocean.
We have a long pier with a cool palapa and swim platform at the end for relaxing and swimming in a demarcated area. Or, swim in our exotic freshwater pool and relax in hammocks and chez lounge chairs under the palms on the beach.
Complimentary bicycles, canoes and kayaks are available for our guests to explore the Island.

About St John, U.S. Virgin Islands - St. John Of all the islands, St John is probably the most unspoiled, thanks to the contribution of one of the world's best known philanthropists, Laurence Rockefeller. Had it not been for Rockefeller's gift of money and his desire to preserve beautiful St John, the landscape would probably look more commercial, much like the other Virgin Islands.

Caribbean Travel Tip Ocean Undercurrents If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
