More Info:
The Cotton House Resort is located on renowned Mustique, a private island estate in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, West Indies. Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Cotton House provides one of the most pristine holiday locations in all of the Caribbean.

Charming cottages and houses take their places in the beautifully landscaped gardens rising up from L'Ansecoy Bay. The sugar mill, remnant of a bygone era, stands like a sentinel within the plantation-style architecture.

A fresh sea breeze sweetens your senses as you take in the moment. Free from the normal boundaries and pressures of the world, Mustique welcomes you to the Cotton House, its hideaway and perfect tranquil retreat.

Cotton House is not quite like any other we've ever had the pleasure of visiting in the Caribbean. It has been described as a Fantasy Island Resort and one which would have Ricardo Montalban greeting you on arrival. Well, not quite, but close. The little airport is just over the hill from the resort and each time a tiny plane buzzed in for a landing we thought "the plane, the plane"! In the distance, they looked and swooped down for a landing just like the TV show.

And speaking of entertainment, lots of celebrities have lavish villas on Mustique. But, as with places like Aspen, they might be visiting and you might have the opportunity to see one, but probably not. Perhaps it's part of the mystique of Mustique!
It is a very private island and there are no scheduled airline flights or ferries to reach it. You can sail there on a yacht or take a commuter flight. We flew to Mustique from Barbados on a twin engine "Islander" plane which held 8 people and was one of the smoothest one hour flights I can remember.

The island of Mustique has rolling green hills, clusters of wooded areas, and cliffs plunging into deep blue waters separating gorgeous white sand beaches ... a perfect setting for the superb Cotton House Resort.

For an overview of Cotton House, click on the island image to see a large detailed map of the resort and its location on the northwest side of Mustique, an island 18 miles south of St. Vincent.

It is an elegant, yet relaxed destination for those seeking to truly "get away from it all".

Nearby Attractions:
Mustique quietly shares its unspoiled treasures with each of its guests. A hideaway for celebrities and royalty, the island is renowned for its seclusion. Mustique has several beautiful beaches and protected coves for guests to enjoy. Take in sailing, scuba diving and snorkeling, tennis, motorboat excursions, or horseback riding.

Welcome to The Cotton House Spa
E´SPA are the aromatherapthy skin care products used within the spa. The philosophy of E´SPA is an ancient one. It is a philosophy that cares for the whole person, the whole being.

Holistic in design, E´SPA promotes synergy between mind and body, symmetry between needs and desires. Developed to satisfy a rapidly changing and demanding society, it is a lifestyle philosophy that encompasses a range of uniquely developed products and treatments. Communicated through aromatherapy, the philosophy flourishes in an environment which encourages escapism - an oasis of tranquility, a sense of peace and inner calm.

The therapists at the Cotton House Spa are certified and hold the appropriate qualifications within this field of work. A new, larger spa is being constructed and should be ready by Spring 2002.

Pillow Talk
Some people prefer full-bodied ones, robust and long. Others shun the heavy varieties, opting instead for delicacy and subtle lightness. We are not referring to wines, but instead....feathers, cotton and latex. If there is one item at the core of a good night sleep....it's getting the pillow right.
Promising a perfect nights sleep, guests at the Cotton House hotel can choose from an original new pillow menu. Guests may choose their favourite pillow for their holiday and lay their heads to rest on a specially selected pillow. A special selection includes goosedown, feather and hypo-allergenic.

For the base pillow each guest will have chosen a Down and Feather pillow. Pure sleeping pleasure awaits you....Filled with a white goose down and feather blend this pillow is especially well loved by those that sleep on their backs, providing just the right amount of support and comfort.

According to Cotton House general manager "This is a special amenity we offer to make sure our guests feel like the Cotton House is their second home. It's just one more way of trying to fulfill their dreams."

Originally an 18th Century coral warehouse and sugar mill, the hotel offers guest simple elegance and luxurious charms of a premier luxury resort. The late renowned designer, Oliver Messel, carefully restored many of the original features of the Cotton House.
