Clear, turquoise waters surround your own private oasis where stretches of white sand are your canvas by day. By night, millions of stars gaze down upon you. From its spa, to its Las Vegas-style casino, to its bountiful array of activities, St. James’s Club will capture you.

Dine waterside, surrounded by majestic yachts, or in the privacy of the resort’s 250 guest rooms, suites and villas. Every imaginable amenity is yours for the asking. A certain understated elegance gives St. James’s Club its renowned reputation for distinction and provides you the epitome of a blissful Caribbean memory.

Where is Antigua?
Antigua (pronounced An-tee'ga) is located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, roughly 17 degrees north of the equator. To the south are the islands of Montserrat and Guadaloupe, and to the north and west are Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barts, and St. Martin.

Weather in Antigua
Antigua enjoys an average of eight and a half hours of sunlight every day. Temperatures generally range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer. Annual rainfall averages only 45 inches, making it the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and the northeast trade winds are nearly constant, flagging only in September. Antigua enjoys low humidity year-round.

Gratuities
Same as in the US; 10-15% depending on the service. Give porters and bellhops 50 cents per bag, taxi drivers 10-15% of the fare.

Caribbean Travel Tip

Jungle & Rainforest Treking
If you plan to walk into the jungle make sure you know what you are doing. Carry a GPS and know how to use it. A compass will help the experienced explorer but if you just bought it and expect to enter the jungle and knock about then you may find yourself in deep trouble. If you have to venture into the bush then please follow these instructions: - Tell somebody where you are going. - Bring lots of water. - Make sure your compass works. - Mark your trail. - Be visually aware and remember landmarks. - Check to see where the sun is when you enter the bush then check your watch to see what time it is, make regular checks to orient yourself to the movement of the sun.
