The Pension is located a few steps from the beaches of the Riviera Maya in the middle of the 5th Avenue pedestrian walkway. Our rooms, decorated in traditional Mexican style, accommodate from one to five people.
Playa, as it is commonly called, is located (66 km / 41 mi.) south of Cancun. This rapidly expanding Caribbean Village, which has transformed into a wonderful vacation spot, has been developing around the mainland terminal of the passenger boat ferries to Cozumel. Passenger ferries depart every hour to the popular Caribbean Island.
Playa´s pedestrian walkway is lined with craft shops, boutiques and a wide range of eating establishments, which offer cusine from around the world. Some offer a variety of live music with "Happy Hours" that are very popular with our visitors. Always a favorite, Mariachis pass through the streets nightly in traditional attire and play authentic Mexican music.
Nearby Attractions:
Playa offers some of the finest beaches and coral reefs on the coast of the Riviera Maya. Reef diving, snorkeling and fishing execursions may be arranged at many of the shops nearby. The Pension staff would be glad to assist you with these arrangements as well as with car rentals, and airport transportation.
Amenities:
All rooms include a private bathroom with hotwater. Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans, while others are solely equipped with ceiling fans.

Jungle & Rainforest Treking
If you plan to walk into the jungle make sure you know what you are doing. Carry a GPS and know how to use it. A compass will help the experienced explorer but if you just bought it and expect to enter the jungle and knock about then you may find yourself in deep trouble.
If you have to venture into the bush then please follow these instructions:
- Tell somebody where you are going.
- Bring lots of water.
- Make sure your compass works.
- Mark your trail.
- Be visually aware and remember landmarks.
- Check to see where the sun is when you enter the bush then check your watch to see what time it is, make regular checks to orient yourself to the movement of the sun.
