The hotel, constructed in 1991, is located in the heart of the most Caribbean city of "Isla Grande", in one of the most elegant areas of Santiago de Cuba. Right on the busy Avenida de las Americas, 7 km distance from the Internation Airport Antonio Maceo, 1 km from the International Hospital and the Convention Center, 1.5 km from the shopping mall, 2 km the historical city center and 25 km distance from the beach.
The fifteen-storied hotel has a total of 302 rooms, including 30 Junior Suites, 3 Suites and 1 Presidential Suite as well as 88 connecting rooms. All of them have a full bathroom, garden-view, telephone, TV with 12 channels vĂa satellite, radio, minibar and safety deposit box. The suites additionally offer a jacuzzi and a separate living room; the Presidential Suite includes as well a special working area. Special rooms for non-smokers and physically challenged people. 24 hours room service.

Ocean Undercurrents
If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
