Rancho San Eric: a collection of private homes and appartments for rent in an estate setting, located directly on the beach near Tulum Mexico, on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, 80 miles south of Cancun.

Casa Eric is the house that lends its name to the compound. It is tucked into the palm forest on the first dune, directly on the beach.
Casa Eric has 2 1/2 bedrooms, 2 baths and is very private. It is ideal for a family or two couples.
The path down to the beach provides spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. From the observation deck on top of the house, there is a 360 degree panorama of the ocean, forest, and lagoons toward the sunset. The master bedroom / sitting area is a living area unto itself and often is used in that way. The master bedroom / sitting area can be a wonderful, private, second area of activity. Maybe away from the kids? The kitchen and bathroom are decorated in traditional Mexican tile.

Ocean Undercurrents
If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
