Our villa is located next to Salt River Bay National Park, where in 1493 the fleet of Christopher Columbus anchored to get fresh water from shore. Salt River Marina and Columbus Cove restaurant are within walking distance and offer casual dining, as well daily kayak tours and scuba diving along the unique Salt River Wall.
The natural elements of our world are... the sun, sea, beach, gentle trade winds, star-filled nights and magnificent views. We've simply added convenient room settings all with ocean front balconies, pool with multi level deck around it, banana garden and other amenities. The result is an intimate Caribbean seaside retreat you have always dreamed about.

St. Croix is the most eastern and largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands (28 miles long, 7 miles wide), located 40 miles south of St. Thomas and St. John. It is one of the most beautiful resort areas in the Caribbean. Much of it's beauty and charm lies in gently rolling hills, stretches of beach and variety of landscapes from the lush, rainforest clad mountainsides to the dry desert, studded with flowering cactus.
Christopher Columbus sailed to Salt River, St. Croix on his second voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in 1493. Since then, St. Croix has been owned by Spain, France, Holland, England, the Knights of Malta, Denmark and the United States. This gives the island an easy intermingling of different cultures and styles. St. Croix is a little bit of Europe in the Caribbean with two main historic towns Christiansted and Frederiksted offer you both the adventure and pleasure.
Cruzans ( also called Crucians), the people of St. Croix, are known as the friendliest of any Caribbean people. The locals speak English, Spanish and Creole, commonly called Calypso. Creole began in the early days of the slave trade and was influenced by French, English, Portuguese and Dutch mixed with African.

Driving in the Caribbean
If you plan to rent a car, be aware that most jurisdictions of the Caribbean drive on the left. The only places where you drive on the right are Aruba, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles. In other places, if you are not used to driving on the left, proceed slowly and with utmost caution. You may wish to ride as a passenger for a while before trying to drive yourself.
Driving conditions and local driving patterns are different from the U.S. Many roads are narrow or winding, signs may not be in English, and in some places, domestic animals roam freely. Defensive driving is a must.
