Bahama Villa
Enjoy gentle Caribbean breezes, sounds of ocean waves, and specatuclar sunsets from the porch of our private 2 BR oceanfront villa at Ten Bay Beach on the popular family island of Eleuthera starting at only $995 per week for couples.
|
More Info: Although the temperature in Eleuthera rarely goes below 65 degrees fahrenheit, it does get cool on occasion in the "winter" (December-February). Just bring an extra long-sleeve shirt when you visit Bahama Villa. Mostly, however, you will need your suntan lotion. The summers are usually hot - perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling (we even provide some snorkeling gear!), and swimming. Central AIR CONDITIONING was installed in 2001, one of the few houses in the area to have it. Most guests report not needing it much, however, except on the very hottest days. With all the fresh breezes wafting in from the bay and circulated by the ceiling fans, you may want to just enjoy living a-la-Casablanca.
Bahama Villa is about 800 square feet inside but the porches and decks overlooking the ocean and beach give you the feeling of a much larger place. Some days you might just turn off the air conditioning, open the four large glass doors and allow the gentle Caribbean breezes, along with the sound of ocean waves, birds, frogs and crickets to lull you to sleep. There are two bedrooms, one bath, a fully equipped kitchen and a large great room. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and glass door to the porch. The second bedroom has twin beds and the great room features wicker furniture and a futon sleeper sofa. The Villa is designed for four people, but can accommodate up to six. There is a phone for incoming and local calls, a VCR and large video library. Sheets, linen, games, and many extras are also included. The Villa is cleaned before you arrive and extra maid service is provided for longer stays.
Amenities: Central AC, TV/VCR, multiple decks, lanai, furn. kitchen, large glass windows, video library, BBQ grill, hammock, snorkeling gear.

Caribbean Travel Tip Safety Tips Crime Information. Most visitors to the Caribbean have a relatively safe trip. However, thievery, purse snatching, and pick pocketing do happen, particularly in cities and at beaches. There has also been an increase in violent crimes, such as rape and assault against tourists. In some places, U.S. passports and identity documents are especially attractive to thieves. Robbery of yachts is a problem in some marinas.
Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
-- Safety begins when you pack. Leave expensive jewelry, unnecessary credit cards, and anything you would hate to lose at home.
-- Use a concealed money pouch or belt for passports, cash, and other valuables.
-- To facilitate replacing a lost or stolen passport, carry two extra passport photos and a photocopy of your passport information page and other identity documents with you in a separate place from those items.
-- Do not take valuables to the beach. When possible, use the hotel safe when you go to the beach or into town.
-- When you enter a marina, register with the local government authorities.
