Beach Watch
Beachfront - 3 bedroom vacation rental home on the oceanfront at Great Guana Cay, Abaco, Bahamas . . . on its own secluded stretch of 5 ½ mile white sand beach with magnificent views.
|
More Info: Beach Watch is topped off with a roof deck for enjoying golden sunsets over the Abaco Sound and beautiful early morning sunrises over the Aqua-Blue! Panoramic views are in every direction. This fantastic vacation home has the best of both - serene, quiet and private location but only five minute walk from the ferry dock and Great Guana's shops and restaurants.
Beach Watch, Great Guana Cay is a gentle experience, with so many natural subtleties as the colors in our skies, land and oceanfront.
Consider us as many things…a secluded Bahamas vacation home rental in a completely natural setting… located only steps away from a breath taking view of aqua-blue ocean-front waters…tropical breezes….reefs that are a diver's delight… with fabulous fishing and warm waters for swimming and snorkeling - making the Beach Watch at Great Guana Cay the BEST Caribbean vacation you will ever experience.
One of the largest outer cays in the Abaco Chain of the Bahamas, Great Guana Cay is 165 miles east of Palm Beach, and less than an hour by air from Miami to Marsh Harbour via US Air, Continental & American Eagle, then only a 20 minute ferry ride to Great Guana Cay.
Albury's Ferry Schedule Several boat rental companies offer dependable 19' to 26' power boats. Rich's Rentals - 242-367-2742 and Sea Horse Marine - 242-367-2513 are some to choose from. Arrangements should be made well in advance. Boats may be moored at the public docks on the Cay. Delivery and pick-up service are available.
Upon arriving Great Guana Cay, you will see the main road -- "Queen's Highway" is wide enough for two golf carts (the principal island transportation) to pass each other. The small settlement, on the harbor at Kid's Cove, is the hub of island activity -- the ferry dock, a small grocery, a liquor store and a handful of other shops are here, as is the "Fig Tree", an open air gathering place, and Milo's fruit stand, famous for his island grown tomatoes. Fewer than 150 people live here year round, many of them descendents of British Loyalists who moved here just after the American Revolution. The Bahamian People are warm friendly people always offering a warm smile and hello -- welcoming you to Great Guana Cay!!
Amenities: This oceanfront home can accommodate up to six people-having three bedrooms: The queen master suite has a spectacular view of the Atlantic w/private bathroom; a second queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two twins beds offer glimpes of the Abaco Sound over the island and share a second full bathroom.
An open living/dining area surrounded by windows opens to a screened in terrace Sound views; wrap around deck. The fully equipped kitchen has a cook's view of the ocean too. All the comforts of home are included: air conditioning, ceiling fans, Satellite TV, VCR, CD player, phone service, VHF radio (the telephone of the islands) BBQ grill, and all linens and towels-even a shower outside for rinsing off after a dip in the ocean. Weekly cleaning and use of laundry are included for stays two weeks or more.
