This miniature paradise entices visitors to abandon their watches and embrace Cay Time - a way of measuring the day in which the sun's warming of the water is more important than its position in the sky.
Whether you are staying in the Kingfisher Treehouse where one can gaze at the fish swimming by in the translucent Sea of Abaco's many shades of turquoise water right outside your window or from your private balcony in the Humming Bird Treehouse where you can watch the spectacular colors of red, yellow and orange as the sunsets after a day of warming its waters and those that have been in it.
These two unusual octagon cottages are an enchanting accommodation for visitors to paradise. Each allows guests an extraordinary view. . .
A great location for family reunions, small groups or each unit is secluded enough for a quiet honeymoon. The Treehouse guest houses are nestled in the trees on a hillside overlooking the Sea of Abaco. Each home has two bedrooms, two baths, living area and fully equipped kitchen. Each home can accommodate up to six people comfortably with central air conditioning and ceiling fans. Linens are provided. A large dock is close by for sunning. A sunken boat just off shore makes a superb home for thousands of colorful marine specimens. Ideal for a novice snorkeler.
We are located pproximately 150 miles east of Florida are the Abacos. Green Turtle Cay is a cay directly east of the Treasure Cay airport on Abaco. The Treehouses are on the west side of White Sound on Green Turtle Cay on the Sea of Abaco.
Nearby Attractions:
There is a lot to explore and discover on this cay and the surrounding cays. Arrangements can be made for fishing trips, diving trips, or a picnic on a secluded island to enjoy fresh fish or lobster. You may explore the cay by renting bicycles, golf carts, or a small boat to tour the three mile cay and visit the quaint town of New Plymouth. Established in 1783 by American loyalists, it still gives the old world charm of a fishing village with its friendly people or you may want to go hiking and discover the many birds and plant life that inhabit the cay.
Amenities:
There are several local restaurants in the village and two good restaurants close by. There are three small groceries in the settlement of New Plymouth to buy provisions or you may want to pack a suitcase with your favorite snacks and cereals.
