Where once stood a 19th century sugar plantation, Nail Bay offers you a range of luxury accommodations and facilities with picture perfect sunset views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the Dog Islands from anywhere on our 147 acre ocean side resort. You can swim and snorkel off three deserted beaches that are among the very best in the Caribbean.
Combining tropical luxury with modern day convenience, we have created a contemporary West Indian Village for our guests. Rest assured, you will feel relaxed the moment you walk into any of our air-conditioned rooms, suites and apartments. All are designed to ensure comfort and tranquility.
When it is time to rinse off the sand and salt after another hard day at the beach, take a dip in our freshwater pools or soak in the steaming hot tub, all of which are set among landscaped boulder gardens. Still feeling active? Then maybe try your hand at tennis on our lighted court, or perhaps a little bocce or croquet before dinner.

Snorkeling
You will find some of the best snorkeling in the BVI right off our three beaches. Beginners will find that Mountain Trunk Bay offers an easy introduction with a gently sloping sandy beach and lots of spectacular coral and tropical fish very close to shore. The more experienced can explore some of the coral caverns just beyond Nail Bay and Long Bay beaches. It doesn't come much better than this and all are just a short walk from your accommodation!
Our Swimming Pools and Hot tub
When it's time to rinse off the salt and sand after another hard day at the beach, what better than a dip in our freshwater pools and waterfall or steam in our hot tub, all set among landscaped boulder gardens.
Sailing
If you would like to make the most of our perfect sailing conditions, we can arrange a day sail for you. Let us know if you would like a private charter (around $600 a day) or if you would prefer a little company with which to share your experience and the cost.
Powerboats, Sailing & Parasailing
These are available from Leverick Bay Watersports, just a short drive from Nail Bay. In addition to offering expert water skiing instruction, this very professional company will rent you all sorts of sail and powerboats. Try one of their 8 hp dinghies, perfect for beginners and excellent for exploring the North Sound, Virgin Gorda. Or try your hand at parasailing and see our beautiful Islands from the air.
Tennis, Bocce & Croquet
For our more active guests who would rather not spend their whole vacation relaxing on the beach, we've provided a lighted tennis court, bocce pitch and croquet lawn.

Our Villas are comfortably furnished and well equipped with modern kitchens, and most have private pools and air conditioning, you can also take advantage of all the facilities you expect from a luxury Caribbean Resort, including great local food served by our warm and friendly staff at The Dog & Dolphin Poolside Bar & Grill, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or, if you prefer, our Chef can visit you in the privacy of your own home by the sea to prepare a romantic meal just for you. Tennis, bocce, excursions to neighboring Islands such as Tortola, Anegada, Cooper Island, Norman Island, Peter Island, St. Thomas, or St. John, scuba diving, fishing, sailing and powerboat trips and a variety of water sports are all available. Driving in the Caribbean
If you plan to rent a car, be aware that most jurisdictions of the Caribbean drive on the left. The only places where you drive on the right are Aruba, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles. In other places, if you are not used to driving on the left, proceed slowly and with utmost caution. You may wish to ride as a passenger for a while before trying to drive yourself.
Driving conditions and local driving patterns are different from the U.S. Many roads are narrow or winding, signs may not be in English, and in some places, domestic animals roam freely. Defensive driving is a must.
