Site Information:
Cabrera, Puerto Plata
A private luxury villa on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
|
More Info: Owned by a Boston family, this charming, open-to-the-outdoors house has three bedrooms and two full baths. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the living room and dining room are comfortably furnished, with a water view. The pool and balconies overlook the ocean, and the lush gardens, meticulously maintained, attract hummingbirds, doves, and exotic butterflies. There is a constant cool breeze - a highly-prized allure of this area of the Caribbean.
The villa is off-road, in a quiet gated community. A short drive away, one can find a scuba diving center and the impressive golf course and club designed by Robert Trent Jones. Internet services are available. Local Dominican restaurants and hotel dining rooms are reasonably priced. A day trip to the artist's colony at Samana is a must, and the natural beaches can be dramatic, with crashing waves, or peaceful, with deserted coves. There is limited night life, and infinite natural beauty!
The villa is offered at from $1000 to $2500/week, depending upon the season, and includes six days' maid, gardener, and pool services. A cook and driver are available at extra cost.
